jerky shifts. engine mounts?

my 8 has about 22k miles on it. its a 05. there has been no engine mount tsb done on it. i got it a few months ago with 16k on it

when i am driving aggressively and up shift at higher rpms like 6000+ i let off the gas i get the high engine braking. this seems normal to me. i press the clutch in fast, up shift fast and then let the clutch out fast. almost dropping it.

my problem is when i let the clutch out if i am not smooth and slow with it i get a violent back and forth motion in the car. i understand it would be normal to get a lunge when engaging the clutch because the rpms have to fall but i dont understand why it goes back and forward like it does. the best i can describe it is like the clutch is bouncing. the noise the clutch makes when you are engaging it also comes and goes with the shake. its smooth if i shift and get on the gas a lot and quickly after engaging the clutch.

the only thing i could think of as i have a lack of clutch and trany knowledge is that maybe the engine mounts and bad and the engine is moving a lot and causing it.

any ideas? i hope i can get a video with sound soon. been busy

and does any one know. does the engine mounts fall under part of the drive train warranty. i am still covered until may under the drive train warranty. i am thinking there is something going bad with the tranny also. its getting hard to shift in to 2nd at higher rpms. you really have to yank it in to 2nd

Does the car shake at idle?

Did you rev-match properly? The engine revs tend to spin down pretty fast off throttle.

how can you rev match up shifting? i can rev match down shifting and it is smooth. up shifting causes a drop in rpms. the only way you could rev match is to hold the clutch in until the rpms are at the road speed for the next gear up but that would be a waste of time. i know the rpms are not dropping below the rpms of the next gear. i am doing all of this fast. if i am at say 8k and the next gear is going to be at 5k the rpms are probably around 7k when i drop the clutch out. i understand this 2k rpm difference would cause a jerk but not a back and forth motion.

i get a vibration at ideal some times. not a whole lot and not all the time.

thanks
