DIY: Making Custom Eyelids
I made myself a set of custom eyelids with some 3M Di-noc carbon fiber vinyl. It is pretty straight forward and takes some patience.
You will need:
Thick vinyl
Exacto blade, or razor blade
Manilla folder( for the pattern)
Tape
Time
Patience
I will be using my own pattern for this DIY , but feel free to be creative and make your own!
1)First you need to start by printing out the pattern, I printed the two halves out on a manilla folder because it is more rigid than paper and it definitely helps out when you are making revisions.
2) Tape the pattern together and make sure it is lined up correctly.
3) Once you have it taped up you can go outside and see how it looks on your headlight. I made a couple of revisions to mine because I had to get it just right.
4) Get it the way you want it then place the pattern on you vinyl and cut the eyelids out, don't forget to flip the pattern to do the other side eyelid.
5) This is where the patience comes in, placing the vinyl on your headlight...It took me a couple tries to get it on right, but I eventually got it on right. Don't foget to thoroughly clean your headlight before installing the vinyl!
Well this is my DIY, I hope it was clear and made sense!
The first pattern is for my eyelids and the second pair is for the ones I based mine off of. The ends are not cut to the headlamp, they are left long so I could come back and trim it down, and I tucked the excess under the headlight lense on the edges.

Great DIY,
3M 1080, should be equivalent to the Di-Noc, I will give it a try. I like the KEI version in the original template. I'll give it a try.
