Hi Wayne,
I seem to remember that parking is at a premium there. Is there a off-street lot? I only seem to remember the Princeton Pike shoulder parking, but maybe I didn't look hard enough.
I look forward to meeting everyone!
PS: Please pardon my poor dented and scratched RX-8 ;-(

Hey there -
You could say that, especially if they now they are forcasting 70 degree temperatures. I drive past once a week, and dont know of any parking lots, but you can park to the side/shoulder. It might be tight! Infact I think everywhere in Princeton is tight - there has always been parking issues. The pub will be worse, but we will see how it all pans out.
It will however be a great background for photos!
It will be good to see you - now what happened to your RX-8 - dented * horror *! :-)

I've got estimates to have both things repaired properly, but I've got to wait to put the money together for it...
That's my sad story...

Flatso, I think you will feel comfortable. We seem to be a little more "mature" than the 7 crowd, at least in years. I am just trying to put that in terms that are complementary to us 8 owners. When I post on the 7 board I tend to be more complimentary to the 7 owners--gotta play both sides.

Just shy of the 35 mark.
I have to apologize again, I won't be able to make it this weekend. Ironically enough, I am going down to South Jersey for my dad's birthday, buy my schedule won't let me permit such an enjoyable excursion.
Hopefully next time.

Perhaps we will see you next time David.
Almost 30 here, cant say I am too excited either....
Updated the site today with a fresher look, plus feature member ride taken from the member image library. Bylaws are now in progress.....
I just want to confirm parking space at the battlefield. It is tight, as its off the side and a busy road, so we may have to move elsewhere afterwards.
I may have parking arranged for Triumph Brew Pub ( a neighboring business!) unsure as yet.

UPDATE:
April 18th Meet, Princeton NJ
"Encourage parking design for historic districts that is unobtrusive, minimizing the effect on the historic character of the setting.
Parking should be limited to that necessary to serve the proposed use."
Apparently parking is restricted at the Battlefield, I don't believe we can park more than 5 cars. Those who know Princeton will agree, parking is quite insane.
I need an exact headcount for the day, we may need to meet elsewhere in Princeton. If you can reply - that would be a great
help.
Suggestions on neighboring 'possible' meet spots will also help!
all the best and thanks!

Wayne,
I will take a ride into Princeton tonight and look for an alternative. I think that there are probably two options. Just northeast of Princeton on Rt 27 (Nassau St.) is a park with a lot near where the Delaware & Raritan canal crosses the road. Another possibility is Lake Carnegie which is off of Washington Boulevard, between Nassua St and Route 1. There might be parking there too.
I'll check them out after work today, and report back here later tonight.
(BTW - just got the M-flash today....)

Got the M Flash too - a few days ago. Feel any difference. I still am unsure but will take a ride again tonight.
I thought about that place - lake carnegie...I have seen people there on good weather days. I appreciate your time looking into it. Poor organization on my part - but I did not think that this might be a larger turnout!

Wayne,
I sent you an email regarding two different Lake Carnegie parking options.
So far, any difference with "M" are subtle (at least with moderate driving style). I ran about 150 miles on the old flash, and about 90 miles on the M on this tank, and got 20.6mpg. However, the first 120 miles were pure highway...
Accelleration with M is very smooth, idle is also smooth, with occasional wiggles - but this is the same as it was before for me. I run 87 most of the time.
