Best service on the South Shore? (MA)

I am kinda thinking of using a different dealer than the one I am currently using....what's everybody's experiences?

I hear Quirk is no good(I bought my car there)...hadn't had experience with the service dept there, but the parts guys weren't really helpful.

Champion Mazda is ok, I know a bunch of guys there, but the Service manager is new, and I'm not too keen on him...

Anybody reccommend a good dealer service dept?

How's the Mazda Gallery? Vachon Mazda? Anybody else?

I got the L reflash and hotter plugs along with my first oil change at the mazda gallery and they were great. They knew about the reflash and upgraded it without question. They were professional and I highly recommend them.

Thanks Fonzie...I actually went down to the dealer with some Dunkin Donuts coffee and a smile. Talked to the Service Manager...my diff was out, they were just awaiting word from techline on wether to replace the ring and pinion, or the whole diff. I also learned that they use motorcraft synthetic 5W20 in all their RX8 oil changes....I asked them to use the Mobil1 I had in the trunk and they said no problem. I will still be without my baby for at least another week......man, this 99 Escort rental car really makes me appreciate my cars a lot more. Even my wife's 94 Corolla is lightyears ahead in refinement.

A real whiney bearing noise that got real loud around 40mph, when load was taken off, like in deceleration. Everybody I let drive the car thought it was the tranny. The noise and vibrations travel through the power plant frame and come up through the shifter hole. I'm actually getting a new diff. I mistakenly said they had the diff out of my car...it wasn't. I mistaked a Lincoln LS diff that was beside my car for my diff(this dealer sells Lincolns,Mercurys, and Mazdas) . I was given my car back and I will return as soon as the diff arrives. So maybe Tuesday or Wednesday it will be worked on. The parts guy told me the diff is like $1700....wow...still not bad considering just the center section for a Tundra diff is $1500 from Toyota. I am an assistant parts manager at a Toyota dealer.

Hmmmmmmm. I hearing a "whoa whoa" sound coming from the back end during accelration around 40-60 MPH. I'm being told that once the tires wear down some that the noise will go away. It has been about a month now and the sound is lous as ever. So I dont know what to do.

Just politely go down to the dealer and ask either the service manager or a tech to go for a ride with you. I knew the guys at the dealer where I went so it was easy for me....but any dealer should be willing and able to help you out.

After reading all of this stuff. I will be setting up my appointment. The noise is getting louder and pissing me off royally. I'm not buying the tire needing to wear down excuse anymore. thanks everyone.

When I started this thread, I was aware of only 1 other diff that was replaced other than mine, now I know of five more....wow...not quite a catastrophy, but it's getting interesting....
