Momentum Keeps Me Going
I found on your group's website this:
"The New England Viper Club will be sponsoring an Exotic Car Show on June 19th, 2004... at the Anheiser Busch Brewery in Merrimack, New Hampshire (This is approximately a one hour ride from downtown Boston). All proceeds are to benefit the New Hampshire Make A Wish Foundation.
So far we have invited and are expecting the following car clubs:
Viper Clubs New England / NYCT
Ferrari (New England)
Lamborghini Northeast
Porsche / North Country
Acura NSX / Northeast
Jaguar / New England
Austin Healey (Northeast)
BMW / White Mountain Chapter
The Brewery will be open to tour. WBCN and WZLX Boston Radio will be covering the event. Live bands have donated there time and will play.
An event T-Shirt will be offered. Prizes and Trophies will be presented. Partsrack and Roe Racing are sponsoring the event. Bay State Motorsports is sponsoring and will be bringing some of their inventory for display (currently they have a brand new Lamborghini Gallardo in their show room...wink, wink)
Cheerleaders???...Jerry Colpitts or secretary has informed me that there will be cheerleaders.
You are all invited !!!
Our goal is to bring together the finest Exotic Cars and car enthusiasts together in the Northeast...and to make a contribution as a group to the Make A Wish Foundation.
Gates open at 9:00am / Show opens to the public at 10:00 / Show n' Shine from 10:00-12:00 / 12-1:00 judging / 1:00-2:00 awards presentation.
We look forward to seeing you in June. Please contact me if you are interested in participating or if your company is interested in sponsoring this event. Thanks"
I don't think there is an official *Mazda RX-8* new England Club, and I'm not sure how exotic we are, but there certainly is an unofficial group of RX-8 Owners here abouts, and we do meet up and have outings. Some of us could be interested I'm guessing (anyone?).
Thanks for stopping by, and good luck with your event. It's surely for a good purpose Jeff. Thanks.

Opps, here is a link to their board with more details and looks like more clubs and cars brands are attending from the looks of all the additional postings as I read through it.

I'd love to see a bunch of 'exotic' RX-8s there, I certainly feel 'exotic' when I'm driving my ride, even if it didn't break the bank to get it in my driveway!

I am the director of the show and I say you are worthy. You will have your own class.
RX8 is a great looking car. Must kick *** in Autocross with plenty of HP to weight ratio.
Its your call.

Is anyone interested to go? Please post and we'll see how many there are. Looks to be one heck of a show!
If any NE RX-8's want to go to this Show and Shine event as a group, we need to get a little organized and let Jeff know what we are planning.
Thanks.

I'm planning on heading down to check out the show but I'm not sure if I want to enter it in the show.
If a bunch of the club members decide that they want to participate. I'll go along with the rest of the group. Majority rules.

I would have liked to attend but my Miata club is having a dyno day in Concord, NH. Gonna see how much HP my Miata really has.
Maybe you guys would be interested in coming to the Elm Street car show on 6/26 from 8am-6pm? Roy, drop me a note and I'll send you info.

For any interested in the Exotic Car Show im Merrimack NH, Sat 6/19, I asked Jeff is it still possible for us to show?
YES - registration is at the door from 8-10am (we will keep it open later, buy the show opens to the public at 10)/Show n' Shine for 10-12/Judging from 12-1pm (peoples choice)/1-2pm Awards and our Presentation to Make A Wish
What is the minimum number of RX-8s do we need?
No minimum, but if you want your own class (awards), I would like to see 5 cars.
What time do we need to show up and who should we see when we get there?
What time? No later than 11:00am please. Who to see? You will have to pass me at the registration table on the way in. I'll be wearing a red Whatsup Baseball Hat.
----
I'm for doing it if we can be a class of 8s, otherwise I'll spectate. We don't have five yet, but if you want to definitely go or go alone, post it here, that's easiest on short notice. Then we'll all know if it's on or off.
