Help please!!! Headlight problem!!

i have my car crashed 2 weeks ago and i have to replace my WHOLE right headlight , the fender and the front bumper. It's lots of money for me. A new headlight is about $800 in canada. Therefore, i asked the shop to look for a used headlight. they got one but i cant find out if it's for GT model or GS model.

can someone tell me the different between the GS's headlight and the GT's headlight. The shop may just change the light to a xenon to cheat me.

HELP ME PLEASE..............

Jono, for that price why not pay your insurance deductible and have your insurance company perform the repairs? Sorry to hear about your crashed 8, may it make a speedy recovery...

If you have a GT, you should have the HIDs with the Xenon bulbs anyway (they were standard on the Canada version too, right?).

Really? So then I assume your insurance company pays the other guy when you're at fault? Does this mean they don't pay solo accidents? And, does this keep your insurance rates down?

In the USA, depending on your coverage, they'll pay for both the at fault and not at fault. Either way, our rates go up for 3 years often making it not worth making the initial claim. Theoritically, the rate would increase more dramatically for the at fault driver. But there are so many variables, that is not always the case.

Since when? ICBC is known for fixing both, just pay the freaking premium, I know a lot of people who have done this, but, whatever, and the front light for mine when I got hit was quoted by Mazda as 700 Canadian, not 800

Based upon your date of birth you are around 14. What are you doing with a car like the rx8?

Why have insurance then???? Sounds like you might not have proper coverage or are trying to avoid telling the ins. company about the accident.

thats the rule here: if i want the ICBC (the only gvernment ins. company in Vancouver) to cover it, i will have the horrible increase of my ins. next 4(5?) years. it's about 12,xxx canadian dollar.

one of the point i wanted RX8 is the insurance. here is some ins. fee of sport cars (with zero discount).

RSX-S 54XX
CELICA GTS 55XX
CELICA GT 47XX
S2000 almost 6000
STI 7XXX
the 8 44XX

the 8's is cheap because it's onli 1.3 liter and "4" doors. ICBC counts doors....... lol!!!
