Question Rx-8.. Daily driver?

Does anyone use their RX-8 as like their primary car?? ...and doesn't race it or anything...

I do (use it as a DD). Many others as well. If by "race" you mean AutoX or Track Days then no I haven't gone to one yet. There was a thread about this a while ago.

DD here too... 60km minimum each day.

Highway drive is good for the car and enjoyable for me.

No problems, except for traffic and stone chips, which are not caused by the RX8.

17k miles and rising. Daily driver, vacation driver. Don't really use my husband's ancient 325 any more at all.

daily driver - 24 miles a day (but a lot on weekends) -- 10k since Jan04

no track time -- tires are way too $$ for that right now.

only drawback for MT would be if I had to do a lot of stop and go -- then I'd be hating it.

Add another to the list. ~40 daily and it makes that drive to work bearable

As far as racing ... no. I haven't even red-lined the thing yet!

everybody that hasn't redlined their well-broken-in RX-8's NEED to do it soon!

you need to do it so all the solenoids and intake valves get used and not seize up due to lack of use!!!

btw i believe one of main goals in designing the RX-8 was to make it a great everyday car, with sportscar performance :D

Daily driver here as well. Wish my commutes were longer... sometimes I just have to take a 20 mile detour on the way home!

Occasional daily driver. I work about a mile from my home, so I just ride my bike. Sometimes I take the RX8. Mostly it's just my weekend car. About 20-30 miles a week.....

I use mine as a daily driver, in LA traffic to boot. My wife won't drive it, so there's not much choice :D

Not a daily driver yet; I still depend on my 92 Explorer for the daily commute. When the 'sploder goes I do not think Ill replace it with a DD, but get a project car. I do have about 12.5k mi on it, tho, and it is 9 months old.

Id love to keep this car for a long time, but there are just too many other cars I want to own
