Help, "extra" tape on rotary accents
I just bought the rotary accents to put on my car. Using the DIY info in the tech section, the back one is really easy. But even using the pics in the DIY section, I can't figure where to put the "extra" tape on the front one. The directions that came with the accents are pretty good also but they just say to add the included extra tape, they don't tell you where it goes. Anybody done this and know where to put the extra tape?? Thanks.

I had the same dilemma back about 6 months ago. Working from memory here. When the front r/a comes out of the box, the preinstalled tape is in the "bottom" of the channel. (if you think of the cross-section as the letter"U") I applied the additional tape to the inside of the channel, but to the "outer" sides. If you put the tape on the "inner" sides there won't be enough clearance to push the r/a all the way on because the side tape will grab too quickly.

Thanks for the reply, beachdog; if I understand what you're saying, I should put the extra tape on the side opposite of the tape that's already on the accent, right?
