Chicago NW Burbs - Winter Tire Source needed and more
Hi all!
I figure i'd better get my butt in gear and get going on getting Winter tires. Visited tire rack and while they have 17" tire, they seem to have no rims and while the have 18" rims, they don't have 18" tires!
I'm wondering if anyone has a good local source for winter tires and rims.
On a side note, went to the Cascade Drive-In on North Ave south of Bartlett with my Black 8 on Saturday and has a nice silver 8 park just down the row. A place like that would make a great meet spot wouldn't it? Imagine a row of 8's dominating the lot.

tire rack was where I got tires and rims last winter. went to 17" rims for winter to get 1" extra sidewall on Blizzaks to help absorb shock from potholes. tire rack had better availabilty and prices than anything local

i just talked to oscar at tire rack this week and they said two 18" tires would fit...blizzak lm-22 and continental winter contacts. apparetnly the continentals are only 40s where the blizzaks are 45s so theyre a bit better.
