Are you serious?
We all know the amount of snow we got these past couple of winters, and the salting/plowing that went with it have damn near destroyed the roads. I have a bubble in my back tire from a pothole to prove it.
But what really chaps my *** is that they have decided (at least around my area) to fill in these potholes with loose asphalt. Not sealed asphalt, no no no, that's crazy talk. Loose asphalt. Just the small black rocks. I can't imagine the epic meeting of the minds from whence this idea emerged. It's kind of like Adam Sandler in Big Daddy covering up the barf with newspapers. I'd like to meet the guy who OK'd this and smack him in the face with my shoe.
Then I'd tell him that the potholes they filled up with rocks last week are now back and deeper than ever. But at least NOW you know when you're getting near one by the sound of a million pebbles hitting your undercarriage.
Anyone else? Comments? Concerns? I kinda just needed to vent.

He's as bad as Can
It’s called a “ Cold Patch” you also notice how it takes about four county employees to do this “repair”.
The guy driving the truck
2 guys with shovels to install the cold asphalt
1 guy with a “ Slow down” sign / flag.
I think the only thing this does is absolve the town of liability until the pothole is reported again.

The asphalt plants shut down during the winter months and don't start back up til the weather warms up. That means all that is available is the cold patch as a temporary solution. Not as good as hot patch but better than an untreated pit, IMHO.

Come to NY and we'll show you whats a true pot hole . We get the same deal, just temporary patch up, cuz it's too cold and like expo1 said, it's a difficult task that it requires 4 ppl (or even more) to do it. Do what I do, swirve, swirve, swirve and remember where they are (altho, that won't help cuz news one appear everyday).
