6/19/05: Autox by NNJR PCA at Meadowland
Hi,
Summer is the perfect time to bask in the sun's glory with your RX-8. So come out to Giant Stadium on Rt3 for some fun with doing donuts and spin-outs. See
http://www.nnjr-pca.com/site/index.p...eid=197&print=
for event detail. bxb40 and I will be there, as always. Hope some of you guys who expressed interest from the 6/12/05 car-meet will be there too!

Yes, we'll be there and have new rear diff fluid to burn, right?
Got to learn all I can before the Evolution school........ and maybe change the tires before winter hits NJ again.....
PS "17mm end-link top nut" :o)))))))))))))))))))))))))) viva PepBoys - lets see how it holds in autoX now

To you naysayer, bigger is better =) You guys are just jealous of the extra 3mm advantage I have on all of you (j/k).
To the casual readers, we ran into problems taking the stock front sway bar off with two end-link top nuts that were just "nutty". Ended up un-fastening the bottom nuts so we could drill thru the stuck nuts once both sway/end-links were off the car.
Let us know if anyone else is coming. Weather is forecasted to be partly cloudy around 77 with 20% chance of precipitation, so should be cool and not burning.
ps. bxb40, the battle of MT vs AT, the old 3-sec advantage would be very interesting to watch with the new front sway...

What a fun day! We had 7 runs in total and special BBQ at the end of the day in a nice/cool weather. There was a red Ferrari 360 Modena, female driver, thrown in the mix as well. Seeing a $200k super sports car running autocross, priceless!
Since non-Porsches were all grouped together without proper classifications, our performance was difficult to measure. The manual RX-8 did well in our mind, running stock on all-season street tires, with just Tanabe front sway bar. We feel surely that the time will be cut down dramatically after the completion of Evolution Autocross School Phase 1 in August.
ps: bxb40, you ready for some R-compound action next year running just the manual car? FWIW, I think you may be pleasantly surprised on how much more competitive you would be in my car, probably kicking my b*tt in the process, LOL =)
