Placement of Gauge on FE32

Hello,

Goodday! Wondering if anyone has place gauges similar to the below on a FE32? Will it will block the airbag from functioning properly?

Thanks.

Yeah, that will most certainly screw up the side air-bag.

Arrow No, it won't....

There is no bag in there, ask the guy who put the gauges in, it's hollow and clips off easily.

The side airbag comes straight down from the roof.

Actually, from what I've been told, the airback is behind half of the A-pillar.

Post Check it out......

No airbag in there.

See pic - note airbag deployed - note 'A' pillar cover still in place.

Another pic of the side airbag and how it deploys. It won't interfere with A-pillar. I have my boost gauge there.

I think those pictures shown are window airbags. The a-pillar airbags may be different. I am not sure about our 8 as mine does not have a-pillar airbags as its a jap spec version.

I think its worth checking it out further yourself as it can be a hazard.

But on the side pillars, there's a logo "SRS", so i guess that's where the AirBag is kept?
Because of the logo, i dare not installed anything on the pillar at all. I placed the guages in a row on the dashboard in the centre.

side airbag, window airbag, a-pillar airbag.... they're ALL the same. It connects on the very top of the a-pillar and extends on the side of car.

Here's a picture of my a-pillar removed. You can see the airbag and the bolt, nothing else in there.
Here's my DIY on installing a gauge on the a-pillar.

No, it won't pop off. Read post #5. Airbag is deployed and cover is still on.

I also found a few more pics of the side airbag.
