Add "Tapatalk" forum client!!!!

It's a simple plugin to install for tapatalk. They can still develop a mobile site that will work for non-tapatalk capable devices. Mobile sites don't really interest me unless they are iPhone specific, otherwise they are just as cumbersome to navigate as a full site

Hey everyone, we have not installed tapatalk, or touchBB on any of our sites for several reasons. The main one being, that we along with vBulletin (who we own) are working on a full featured mobile app which will work across platforms, and not just on the iProducts.
However, this is still about a month, or perhaps two away. In the meantime, we have been designing a mobile skin for our forums, which will be available though a specific mobile address. We are meeting on Tuesday to discuss the progress on this since last week, after that I can provide another update.
cheers,
robb

Is the mobile site going to be ad free, or will they be taking up valuable screen space? can we choose to still use the main site, or will it auto-detect and always send us to the mobile version?

Why not just make an RSS feed of new topics/posts? Seems like the same thing to me and then you don't have to worry about any individual platforms feeling left out since everyone supports RSS.

right now RX8Club is the stone age compared to other forums with mobile sites/apps

I hope i'm wrong, but with the amount of advertising on the site (like almost all others) I understand the no tapatalk from a business standpoint. No advertising in tapatalk. No ads, no money. No money, no reason to do it, even if only a small percentage use it.
That said, I still want tapatalk and think it's sad that it won't be used since it's so simple to implement, very well received, and by far the best way to browse a forum on a small screen. Hell, I'd buy it if there were a desktop version to use on my netbook.

what most site owners who don't turn on tapatalk are missing is that the ability to read it on your phone in an easy to use way then drives those same eyes to the website on the computer once they're home.
I see more ads on my phone then on my computer running FF with noscript and adblock+.

Tapatalk could have been implemented months ago in the mean time...lol. Hell, even if your going to introduce a mobile forum app across mobile platforms... why not just add tapatalk for the mean time...lol? Like stated previously.. it covers like 85% of all mobile app based operating systems. Better then nothing at this point.

There already is an RSS feed for new threads on the site
