I'm just going to bump this everytime I get the message.

 

MySQL is fast, but it doesn't scale. You can drop it on a 8 way box and it runs about 2x faster than on a single CPU box. That's why I like postgres. Ironic since my screen name is mysql...

I read it most of that thread, I just didn't find it as entertaining as my suggestion.

 

At 5:10am Central time, it does that for 10 minutes. It does it every morning without fail. It does it at other times of the day, but not nearly as long.

Haha, good eye. I love it when I get this message when I hit submit reply after I have typed up a good paragraph to post... then have to re-type all of it.

 

^ Since it's a form submission, you should be able to hit reload in your browser. It'll ask you if you want to repost the form values again, hit yes. Randomly do that till it goes through.

In FF, I can also just hit back arrow and my post remains there for me to submit again.

Are most of these problems just from people messing with updates/backups/ etc...?

Are these hardware based?
