Certain Criteria a user must have in order to post items for sale....
In recent light to scams happening a lot within our own parts for sale section I was going to throw out the idea of certain criteria that the user must have in order to sell an item.
Just some rough ideas and input would be great.....
for example:
-Have a 1 or higher trading score (maybe more idk like I said just a number)
-have posted more than 70 times (just an idea)
-Must be registered with PayPal
-Any new thread that is posted must be ok'ed by one of the moderators, if none of these criteria apply to the user who started the for sale thread then the thread is closed.
Now I know there are good guys on this forum that may not meet this criteria but this would encourage more involvement through the forum as well as trying to make it a much safer exchange with parts and money.
Just a rough idea ...........ANY THOUGHTS?????

Meh................I would meet all but item 1.
I have sold probably 20-30 items to all parts of the country and even outside the country, but this was all before the intro of the "Trader" score. This "Trader" score was only recently adopted last Fall.

Just a heads up, Paypal is one of the easiest mediums in which to scam people, and if you look on the threads on this forums in which users were scammed, Paypal was used in many of them.
Definitely agree on the other points, especially post counts. Having been here a while, I already know who is here for a good reason, and who I don't recognize.
Also, I've seen a few interesting scenarios (not just here) where someone had someone within lets say, a 2-4 hr drive SHIP an item, only to be scammed. Whenever possible, I would pick up my purchase in person.

Length of time and the number of posts are the criteria that I personally use to determine if I will trade with a person.

Most people with an RX-8 most likely do not frequent this forum. They may only make it on here to buy or sell a part. It values everyone to give them the opportunity to use this forum. But, with reward comes risk. By choosing to buy used and save some money, you take the risk of getting scammed. In a perfect world, this wouldn't be the case, but let's face it, some people just suck and unfortunately we can't kill them. If you can't afford the risk, don't take it, buy new.
