Change in allowed picture size upload?
Was there? seems to me there was. I have a camera on my PDA which takes 640x480 pics in jpeg form. I used to be able to upload them, now they're too big. What's the deal? it's 100 kb now, IIRC it was 200 or 250 kb before.

It may change back in the future. We'll let you know.

Most of the pics I upload are under 200 kbs in jpeg format. Now I have to open them in paint and save them as a jpeg again, I guess paints jpegs are more compressed. PITA I tell ya!
Thanks for the reply though!

100KB is MORE than enough...sure I'd love to stuff 7 meg photos I took with an high end digital but this is a forum first and attachements bog it down...
the reality is for decent size pics that would fill 1024x768 (I run 1280 1024 still) you only need at most 95KB anyway
the key is when you save in jpg use a program that allows you to adjust compression values...set it at a minimum of 10-12 and you can go up to 18 without major picture degradation...when posting on the forum I use 15

IrfanView
In case anyone else is having lots of trouble give irfanview a try. www.irfanview.com
Very easy to resize a pic to standard dimensions or just cut it down half or percentage or whatever.
