New Messages
Hello all,
I have been hanging around this forum for quite a while now. I am anxiously awaiting the new RX-8 because I believe it will encompass everything that I am looking for in a new car.
Now my suggestion:
I think it would be nice if there was some way to tell if a post has been added to a thread upon first impression. The best way to describe this is the Car and Driver Forum. When a new post has been added since your last trip, the white folder for the thread turns yellow. Just a nice way of making sure you are looking at something you know is new. Thanks

This forum already has the feature that you described. In this case, the "envelope" icon turns gray if it has been read by you, and will be yellow or red if something new has been posted since your last visit. Yellow means something new, red means that there is something new, and that the thread is getting alot of traffic at the current time.

Tallguy -
once you've signed up it will do what Sputnik was describing, everytime you sign in (or you can choose never to sign out). Forums won't do this for non-registered members, because it has no way of "remembering" when your last visit was.
Welcome to the forum!

i've noticed though that sometimes threads will appear "read" when i KNOW that i haven't seen a post or two one them... or when i go to read a thread, then come back, some change?? i dunno, maybe it's just me, or i'm losing my mind, literally!!
