I'm relatively new to this forum. I dont have an RX-8 yet but I am planning to get one in the next year.
Being the intelligent consummer and techie that I am, I've bee reading alot of threads on this forum regarding the engine (in the technical section and so on).
My research however has gone pretty slow as many senior members who have 10,000+ posts pollute the threads with their short, unimaginative and quick ,arrogant replies.
Its as if they absolutely had to express themselves, regardless of having any knowledge or elaborated opinion on the thread's topic... just so that theyre post count goes up.
Very annoying!!
My suggestion is abolishing the postcount option so that these attention ****** die-offf.

If you don't like reading those posts then use the Ignore Function, that's what it's there for.

I completely agree with midnight wankeler. To me it seems like a couple members, more in the 5000 post range, post irrelevant or unecessary smart *** comments either to increase their post count or just to be posting.

I don't think post counts have much to do with it. I think people just like to spew stupid crap on the web.

Yeah, but do you really have to be so **** about this. who cares how manny post someone has, just skip it. It's not like they post over 10 or 15 times in one thread. We have stupid post all the time, like MPG post, or people that say use search. For someone of your intellect. you shoulden't let stupid **** like this bother you, unless post ****** are ruining your life.

This has got to be the worst first post I've ever seen -- ever. The only person on this site that has 10,000+ posts is zoom44. He knows more about the 8 than Mazda does. He posts tons o' useful information. If that makes him a post *****, then keep on whorin' zoom!
Anywho, in general, post ****** clog up forums just as much as n00bs that don't know or care enough to search first and ask the same 4 questions 7 million times. It's just how forums work. This forum is more than just an encyclopedia for RX-8 information -- it's a community too. Sometimes people like to ramble on about nothing just for fun.
