Since you are in the process of upgrading/updating the software, I will repeat a nice-to-have enhancment I suggested some time ago. And that is, adding the ability to reset the "last time visited clock". This would be particularly useful when jumping out of the forum to an off-site web page and then returning to discover that the threads with new posts since last time visited are no longer highlighted. Resetting the "last time visited clock" to your last time visited--approximate or otherwise--would restore the highlighted threads.
