Cool Update....

How do you like the "updated" forum?

Are you finding it any quicker?

Are searches more relevant?....how do you like the "similar searches" feature?

......post your observations,

S

At first glance it looks nice, seems faster. The graphics at the top aren't lining up correctly; where it says "user/cp, quick links, garage, members, calendar, search, faq" those are up and down below the graphics bars to either side of them. Plus they don't have the double-rule on the bottom the way the graphic elements to either side of them do. (This is on a Mac using Safari web browser).

1. You can quote more than 1 people at a time. Press the " button to make it red, then press post reply. THen you will have 2 sets of quotations! I used to do it manually before.

2. I seem to lost the new thread button. on the top right (used to be above private messages). Gone. Most annoying.

Also. The default setting of the reply have the signature checked. If you want to have it checked off... it will make the screen cleaner.

I have to say the new userbar I use make my signature very neat

I get this message with IE7:

"Internet Explorer cannot open the internet site https://www.rx8club.com.
Operation aborted."

The forum loads and that message pops up. I click OK and the "Page cannot be displayed" screen takes over.
Google returns a lot of results for this IE bug, but the problem is in the HTML code.
I can't do nothing.
Please, fix it.

I used this version of vBulletin before.

I have no problems with it. Speed is faster.

but sometimes if I edit my post, I have to press refresh for it to show up.

nothing major. the problem is on my side. Actually.

Haven't really tried too much searching, but I LOVE the "Multi-Quote this message" option. Saves a lot of time!

Love the updates so far!

Firefox and IE6

Everything looks pretty good in Firefox (2.0.0.3). I like the new graphics. Haven't done a search as yet. Only one thing that I see and that is the black text in the RX-8 Classifieds title bar is pretty much unreadable.

In IE6 (6.0.2900.2180) the selection bar (User /CP:Quick Links:Etc) is hosed pretty good. Also has the same problem with the black text in the RX-8 Classifieds title bar.

So far I like the new look of the site. You guys did an awesome job!!!!

Thanks!!!!

The anti-aliasing around the icons needs to be adjusted for the dark skin.
There is a white edge around them and it looks crappy.
Otherwise it looks great.
I too was going through withdrawal (according to firefox, that is how you spell that word.. it looks wrong to me..)

Telepathically?

As Stormy mentioned, the Selection bar in IE6 is really bad. Other than that, nice update!

I would suggest having the sig box unchecked by default. The way it is right now, threads are going to look long, cluttered, and slow due some of the images in peoples sigs.

First thing I noticed is the default font size is much smaller than before. I'm on a Mac BTW.

It's very hard to read at this setting. Does anyone else have any problems reading? I have to increase the fonts so I don't have to strain my eyes. Any way to fix this on my end?
