Yeah, better off squashing that shit. While I admit it is fun it probably will not help.

Great. Now I'm gonna have to write "Elders" in magic marker at the end of my "Back the Blue" bumper sticker.

Don't worry my ass... I don't need more attention as it is... I don't think this is good, since they are retired cops... They have connections... Sigh

I just wanna say thanks to a great run guys, I had a blast and I am sure I can speak for the rest of the SARX members when I say I look forward to next year. My only recommendation would be to have a little earlier in the year :). My oil temp was still 80F when I got in the car Sunday morning :)
ohhhhh a cold weather run!!! now if we could get the weather to cooperate and have it on one of those gorgeous weekends when the sky is blue and air is crisp, it would be perfect!!! i can totally see the guys stopping for apple goodness and getting a fresh out of the oven apple pie to eat on the picnic tables lolll.
That apple pie is just evil. When we did the pre run the weather was perfect, warm in the day and cool in the evening.
tee hee heeee at evil pie :P

Well I made it home safely, but my engine is in need of a rebuild. I compromised a coolant seal. Oh well that's life. The trip was definitely F&^%ING worth it. We had a blast. Travis is already asking about next year. It was great meeting everyone. Thanks again.
Glad you made it home okay Jim, and sorry to hear about the seal.
Thanks, it's ok though. Now it's time for some porting and probably some Esmeril or maybe some ceramic apex seals
explains all the coolant loss. The new water pump has too much POWA!! :D
Yeah nice meeting you Jimmy, too bad you dont live in Texas, the DFW crew could use a guy like you around :) goodluck with the engine rebuild, and take some pictures of it as well :)
Thanks guys, it's nice to feel wanted. :grouphug: I called mazmart this morning to see if Mr. Engman would be so kind as to port me an engine. :fingersx: I''ll let you guys know what I find out.
Sucks dude, and you were not seeing high coolant temps. Maybe that means the coolant was not flowing correctly. You jinxed yourself by telling me how you were going to 150k on the original engine. Oh well, time for a rebuild :)
Yeah, I probably did jinx myself. :) I actually have coolant in my exhaust. That's what the white smoke was at wot.
Oh shit, what was it that was leaking in my driveway? Your SOHN? We noticed it after you left and called seatownracer to let him know.
I remember him telling me about it, but we couldn't find anything leaking. I think it came out of the exhaust when I started it after giving it time to settle and mix with lubricants and gas. I don't have a sohn yet. :)
Weird it was near where the front right side of where your car was.
yeah it was a puddle around where your passenger front tire
