Alright, I will be there, but I wont be leaving Tulsa till around 4 PM on Friday due to work, so I probably wont get there till maybe 9 or so, I still haven't figured how long it will take me to drive down there. But my room is reserved already.
|
If you're leaving Tulsa at 4, it's gonna take you more than 5 hrs. Best of luck though.
|
I was just taking a guess, It takes about 4ish hours to get to dallas wasn't sure what the drive time would be.
EDIT: I just realized this was in the San Antonio area, Woops, I may have to take more time off from work, wanted to avoid taking to much time off Oh well! |
If you do end up taking that Friday off and feel like getting an early start, you can plan to meet up with the DFW crew in Alvarado, but you'd need to be there around 10am or so (don't think the exact time has been set for the DFW cruise down yet).
|
I'm going to try to make it on Saturday.

We've traditionally never had plans besides dinner for Friday night. Friday is a big driving day for DFW to even get down there, even more so for the few that are coming from OK. I don't mind doing something like a Main Event type thing, but I'm willing to bet alot of us are just going to want to chill for the big day of driving on Sat.
But, But, But...................We have crazy bitches :( |

Well, we still need suggestions for dinner for Friday night seeing as how neither Steve nor I know much about dinning options for that evening. I like the mexican place in kerrville cuse it was big, and reasonably priced, and not crowded.
|
ok so that is the dilemma, Friday night in San Antonio is bad for eateries. But with the group size we will have we shouldn't have a problem reserving a section at one of the restaurants close to the hotel.
If you want to go inexpensive there is a Fuddruckers just down the road, it has plenty of parking and this is where we have had previous meetings in the past. There is also Logans, Chili's, Chesters, Alamo cafe, Dave and Busters ( but i know they charge to reserve), wing stop, hooters....... need to know what everyone is in the mood for.... and as my friend there 9k mentioned, there is a bar that we frequent that is just down the road from the hotel that we know the owners, they would be more than willing to entertain us on either evening. |
Any non-chain eateries? I'm sure some of us don't want to drive 5+ hours just to eat something we coulda hit 15mins from the house :P
Come on SA folks, you wanted it there, so step up and make it better than Kerrville. ;) |
I am all for eating at a place that is not the norm but we do need to make sure that they can reserve enough space for us.
I am also down for going out afterwards if people are wanting to. |

Come on SA folks, you wanted it there, so step up and make it better than Kerrville. ;) There is an awesome mexican restaurant downtown that would be perfect but parking would be an issue. I will brainstorm some more and come up with ideas. Give me some types of food you would want to eat. |
As long as the food is good, the prices are reasonable and my car isn't headed to Mexico while I'm inside... I don't care if its chain, not chain or grilled burgers at someones house...
|
ChaCho's is always nice its open 24/7, big portions , 1800 margarita, and its not too pricey. the only down side is that it does get packed and its not really close to the hotel, but it doesnt take long to get anywhere in san antonio the traffic is nothing like dallas and houston.
but wherever we choose i wouldnt mind leading a bunch of yall to it from the hotel. |
Chachos would be badass! <3 the frozen jack and coke and chicken fajita plate there
|
werent you just at work?
|
What about Big's? I've never been there so I can't endorse it but I know they've been featured on the food network. Not sure how big they are or how they would be on a Friday or if you can reserve. Just an idea.
