Drive down to SA for Texas 8 Meet
Let me know how you guys feel about this...
We will meet at 67 & I-35W
Drive down 67 and split off on 220 into Hico
From Hico we will take 281 down allllllll the way down to 1604
Then head east to the hotel
I'm also proposing that the DFW crew may want to pack a picnic because just as we get out of Evant there is a big rest stop where we could have a FREE lunch (assuming you pack one) Both times we have stopped at the Koffee Kup it's been crowded as hell, so I want to avoid that this year. This will also give us a little longer before we stop to eat (this has been a complaint in previous years)

I concur with Joe. I'm a big fan of finding great places to eat out in the country. There has to be loads of them we havent tried yet that are good. Besides packing food like that is going to suck with ice etc, I want to get up and go.
Also, Steve and the guy from OK. are going to be staying at my place Thursday (wife is sleeping at her grandma's) so that we can all be close for the drive down 35 on Fri. Anyone is welcome to stay with me as well (Joe gets dibs on the first slot cuse he lives so far away)

OK
Link fixed, and hatred for picnics noted :/
Well I have always wanted to stop at Storms. It's like a mid-Texas Sonic type drive in restaurant.
They have been in business for 60 years (this year) and there are 4 or 5 we pass on the drive down.

I would say the one in Lampasas would be on par for a refuel (that's where we stopped for fuel the first year) and would be about 2.5hrs after we depart.

We are planning to stop in Lampasas for lunch at Storm's. You guys could head down 190 and meet us in Lampasas. If we leave at 10AM like we usually do we should be getting to Lampasas around 12:15-12:30
