Another update:
So I (actually Dave did the bypass) bypassed SSV and VDI control by cutting the 1L and 1W leads going into the Adaptronic and factory ECU then wired them directly to the factory ECU using the factory harness and 2 lengths of wire.
See here: PCM INSPECTION for more details.
Also, in PA we have to pass all but one readiness test and both my EVAP and Secondary Air tests are failing. After some research I found that two leads in the 4th loom (4D and 4H) are the control signals for the EVAP pump. See here: DTC P2401 (it's google cache to the "secure" MNAO online DTC manual)
I then compared that to the Adaptronic RX-8 wiring diagram and noticed that both 4D and 4H are "NC" (not connected). After a brief email exchange with Andy he confirmed they are not connected and I'm in the process now of bridging the wires to see if I can get my EVAP test to pass.

So damn close... Secondary Air is now reporting a duration. Apparently the range is 1000ms to 4992ms and my damn pump ran for 5190ms throwing a pending a code.
Now I have to wait 6 hours for a full cooldown to run the stupid test again.
Prior to my wiring job the Secondary Air Monitoring PID wasn't reporting anything for duration so I'm definitely making progress.

got EVAP and Secondary Air to pass with my little wire job! Finally can go get her inspected.
Also, will be opening an "Adaptronic Select Owners Thread" shortly. I have quite a bit I can contribute at this point.

I want to use alternative fuels such as LP or CNG in my 04 RX Renesis 6speed. I just bought the car and have not used flash mapping or chips before to accomidate the needs of the perticular gas.
I know the Turbine style properties of the wankel will support basically any type of fuel.
I have heard of people using diesel as well. Has anybody done this and tuned it properly.
Thoughts and feedback are welcome please

What does that have to do with this thread? Start your own damn thread or read the many other threads that discuss alternative fuels.

Actually 9k, the Adaptronic has a tab sheet devoted to flex fuel. No idea how any of that would translate to our car but it certainly has those options assuming you're willing to wire in the necessary sensors, etc.
Hell, I don't even know what a "Flex Fuel Sensor" is

I'm quite certain the "flex fuel sensor" referred to here is actually a sensor you can purchase and place in your fuel tank or elsewhere along your fuel system which will detect the type/quality of gasoline (i.e. regular, premium, E85, etc.) and pass that information along to the ECU, allowing it to adjust parameters as neccesary.
Having not yet worked with the Adaptronic unit or software yet, I can't say for certain though.
Cheers!
