Adam, a list of pads that Girodisc does and does not recommend to be used would be great!

Thanks BSE, was thinking of running Hawk Ceramics for street, then Carbotech XP12 front Biggest concern i have is, does changing pad compounds effect braking performance at all?

I would worry more about rotor life than braking performance if the compounds are incompatible :)

I use Stoptech Street Performance on my street setups...I am not a fan of the Organic and ceramic hawk pads...they just don't last as far as constant friction and once overheated they just plain suck...even if you have plenty of pad left. And than they can glaze over the rotors...

I like the stoptech's (used to be called the Axxis Ultimate basically)

But there is not a single brake pad that they would NOT recommend. These are tough rotors...

I looked into this...but like you said either way you go its money...I cannot control how they were shipped and how stupid customs is when they look at these packages. They should have simply seen that its 2 packages coming from the same origin...and see that there is one invoice for both packages...sorry man. It does suck...I wish i can do anything but again like you said even if you appeal this with customs you are still spending money.

Sorry man

Well looks like I ended up being screwed twice by girodisc. Fake weight claims and double customs.

I dont think anyone tried to screw anyone over in any way shape or form. The weights were theoretic based on past projects and before the prototype was completed. These are the lightest possible, unless you go with full coarbon, and are as strong as possible given the materials.

As far as customs go, that is a tough one...I wish there was more that I can do on that one for you. International shipping is tough, this is why a lot of companies do not do it, its just a pain in the butt no mater which way you look at it.

But again no one had any intentions of screwing you over man. Sorry you feel that way. If there is anything I can do for you in the future let me know. I can sell you stiff at cost, to perhaps offset the difference.

I know you didn't try to screw me over. It's Girodisc that proved to be smoke-sellers like most companies out there. First they take our payments after making claims they can't back up with facts (disc weights), then show how incompetent they are shipping the product the wrong way.

As an international sale between the parties they should know that they're responsible for both their mistakes. However I don't have time to fight over little amounts of money so I will just take note of their behavior and buy the rings and hardware straight from the manufacturer ( www.Colemanracing.com ).

I am not sure about this coleman racing. Cool site though. I do not know if GiroDisc uses them for anything though. They do a lot in house.
