Great group of guys here! I've known Adam for a little over a year now,(met on the freeway while he flew by me in his rx8 with a 3 foot flame shooting out the tailpipe!) and both he and Eddie have always taken good care of me.

Heck Adam got me into Autocross and showed me a thing or two :P.

For any with fitment questions, that's my rx8 in the video's above. Fitment is awesome! slides in like butter. My RX8 gets the beating of the Chicago streets and I have no issues with
banging or any noise coming from the midpipe, and my pipe has no hanger.

If any are in or close to the chicago area and you wanna see/hear and come for a ride, I'd be more then happy to take ya for a spin.
How are those dyno results coming....we are eager to see!!!

how would it sound if you kept the OEM cat and just add the midpip in?

a midpipe is a hollow piping without the cat. So adding the cat would give you exactly what you have now.

more sound, but the stock exhaust muffles pretty well, so it won't be as loud as most stock cat + aftermarket exhaust combos.

here's my car with a resonated midpipe + stock cat: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KZJXC3SjEyw

I can get hangers welded on for those who would want that :
Could you measure the weight of your mid-pipe?

VA Midpipe and questions

Shipped to 23703?

I was also wondering what you would suggest as being the best exhaust to go with this. I have been looking at the HKS Legamax, but it quite pricey and to be honest, I know very little about the exhaust and what would be best for the RX8. To be honest, I have only been going off of the sounds I hear from the videos posted.

I currently have the AEM CAI, any suggestions for exhuast?

Thanks

Says the non engineer.

Stress is a sucky thing, theres a reason the hangar is there. It may weigh LESS, but its not weightless.

I will PM later this evening on my options.

I would not buy one without a hangar..I dont need that all sagging in a few years..when its too late, cuz all the flanges are all warped, and you're ultimately screwed ever getting things to seal correctly down the road without replacing everything.

Been there, did that.

A hanger can always be welded on.
