K&N Typhoon intake $175!!

As seen on our project car and numerous others on the forum. We need to move all that we have so we can order more. This special lasts till 2-21-04 . Price doesn't include heat shield or shipping. We are selling these at a reduced price due to them not having a heat shield in the box. If you want to take advantage of a great deal give me a call send me an email with your phone and i'll call you back.

Huff:

Any updates on the carbon fiber heat shield for the K&N intake? I'm getting a real bad itch and the only cure is more carbon fiber...

I haven't gotten word back from them yet though I'm thinking of posting a copy of the pattern for those who don't want to wait and that way it can be made out of sheet metal as a DIY. You interested?

I second that. I am definitely interested in the heat shield and also a possible replacement filter element that has an open top so the air doesn't have to change direction to enter the filter.

The carbon fiber heat shield is taking way longer than expected obviously. They are trying to keep the cost down so that it is acctually affordable. The shield will be available sometime I hope but it seems as though they are having a hard time getting this piece done and done cheaply. I'm sorry for those that I got all jazzed up about buying one from the begining. I'm doing the best I can but unfortunatly my hands are tied. I do appreciate all of your patients regarding this matter. As soon as I get the green light from K&N they are aware that we have the direct link to the forum and the RX8 owners and they will be sure to get them to us and we will post them for all of you. Hang in there.
