Is the forum broken for everyone?
Since 5-6 days ago, RX8Club looks like it just stepped out from 1993, HTML 1.0 gray background and blue links. Basically unreadable. I would post a picture but that doesn't super work either. Here it is on photobucket:
This affects all my devices and all my browsers, logged in or not.
What gives?
Chrome console reports a couple of unhandled exceptions.
Uncaught (in promise) ReferenceError: currentURL is not defined
at then.catch.e (content_script_bundle.js:13)

Everything is just fine on my end. Both desktop and mobile sites run fine.

You gonna eat that?

Mobile mode has subtle changes.
This is Full site on my phone.

Also, fun fact, if you force the mobile theme on the desktop, there is no way to go back after. The theme options aren't part of the mobile UI.

Disabled all extensions, and it solved the console error (it was Ghostery), but the site still looks vintage.

Regarding the mobile theme, if you press the menu icon in the top-left corner, a "View Full Site" option should be listed about halfway down (directly under Log Out).

Sorry the site looks so funky for you. Let's try this to start: please log out, clear your browser's cache and cookies, and then log back in. If that doesn't do the trick, please let me know.

Cleared cookies, tried other browsers, other computers, tried incognito mode, no result. Still looks like 1993.
When I used the mobile theme on my phone (before this issue), the View Full Site option is there. If I try it, now (it's still available when browsing on my phone) I get 1993.
However, when this issue first appeared, I forced the Mobile Theme on my account under the account options, so now I'm using the mobile theme on desktop, and for some reason, it doesn't have the "View Full Site" menu item.

Thanks for those additional details, Loki, and happy new year to you too!
I was able to make some adjustments to your account that should hopefully both fix your layout and bring back the "View Full Site" link when in the mobile theme. Please let me know how things now look on your end.

Hmmm. Thanks for looking into this Jason. Logged in, logged out, cleared cookies, tried incognito phone on my desktop and phone. No joy.
What's weird is that even when I'm logged out, the site looks like that. I'll be happy to provide console output or some other logs if you guys need.
So far the same issue occurs on 2 PCs and my phone. My phone also does it whether it's on my home wifi or on the cell network. So it feels like it's not localized to my machine or my account (and swoope seeing similar issues confirms that).

I'm having the same issues as Loki here.
I tried on several devices running windows 7, 10, linux and Mac IOS 12 (Ipad Mini). I also tried using Firefox (which I mainly use), IE, Edge and Safari. Logged in or not doesn't make a difference. I also clear my cookies on each session so that can't be the issue.

That looks like a css file failing to load. Have any of you guys recently started using a VPN, a Pi-Hole, or a different DNS server?
I've also had problems like this on other sites, when the css is hosted on different domain than the main site some privacy and adblock extensions block that.

I also tried with a fresh install of Chrome, no addon or anything and the format's the same.
RX7club.com and many other forums I visit works fine if that helps or add to the confusion, lol.

Lookalike: lol, the only thing all our devices have in common is we're in Montreal. Are you on TekSavvy by chance?
Could be some super obscure ISP routing or certificate issue (or cross-domain thing as mentioned above). I'll see if I can get it to work by tweaking Chrome's handling of cross-domain references. This stuff is a bit far back for me, but worth a shot.
As an update for everyone, we've been working on this with Jason via email. Investigation ongoing.
Also also, new symptom: if I open long threads in 1993 mode on my phone (Android/Chrome), it will fail to load the entire page and put the browser into some kind of infinite loop or some other chuggy process, where no other page can load as long as RX8 club is open.

Also, is there a something on the forum that takes into account our region? I know some website track the IP to automatically switch language or the currency for example. I doubt the forum's trying to switch to french, but maybe it's worth checking if the forum is behaving differently based on our location.

It should be fixed now! You guys were on the right track that it was region-specific problem. We use a service called Cloudflare to help us mitigate site attacks, and the issue stemmed from one of their local caches of the site not loading everything correctly. They've reset it, ao you should now hopefully be on the fully styled site and not one stuck in 1993.
If the site still looks broken, please try clearing your browser's local cache. If that doesn't do the trick, let me know.
Thanks!
