rx8bliss, no preferred parking this time around. first come first serve; hence the departure time is so early so that we can park as close as possible..... so as to avoid any fishy stuff that can happen.
xdeedubx, discount... well my friend arranged it between our own personal group, and we can't add any more to our list since he arranged everything and d1 program is not letting any more orders added once that certain group has already purchased
trigger, yes it's $25
come on fellas, it's well worth the money!! $25 for 10-12 hrs. of non-stop fun! it can't get any better than that :D

Hey Sam! It'll prob be like JGTC, where I won't know until the last minute. Are we going to have a section in the grandstands? Last year, we were about midway up at the far left. Great view of the start and high enough to not be blocked by fencing. If we get there early, might try for the other end of the grandstand up from the judging platform.
Btw, know where I can get an AutoExe bumper?

Looked up on Mapquest and found this:
Griffith Park & Southern RR
4400 Crystal Springs Dr Los Angeles, CA 90027
Is that near the meeting place?
Don't want to seem picky, but driving in from the OC in pre-dawn, I wanna know exactly where I'm going and my nav calculated ETA in case I hit a snag and can't make the departure time. Tried this at JGTC and went to Ontario Mills Mall and didn't find anyone there.
Thx!

here is a map
NOT THE RED DOT; IT'S THE L.A. ZOO PARKING LOT
i'm using the map for the potluck just as reference since THE L.A. ZOO PARKING LOT IS VISIBLE.
hope that helps, mpg.

How about to the far side of the parking lot, past the willcall booths, nearest the track. Parked there last year. Everyone else was jammed up near the entrance. Just drive past where all the cars are parked, then turn right, go to the "fence" the other side is the end of the drag strip (I think), then another right toward the main track to the end. The willcall booths will be to your right. That whole area was empty, last year. Turns out that spot is closest to the exits for after the race. (Maybe this should be a "secret"?)
