MP5 Samples

here's a couple of samples....of course, we still need the quote...and maybe we can move the mods down a bit.

Detrich Test Pages ++++Revised++++

Ok, so we made changes to sample 2 and 3...letting go of sample one due to the positioning of the car in the main image being too low.

Detrich---samples....just an additional idea

thought I would show you another option, that you ddint think of....reusing your center image, from sample 1....and picking up on the green, by putting it in the small pics...slot 1 and 3...with a shot without color in the middle slot #2.

...just something to keep in mind, looks like Speeddemon is going to use the palm tree shot...I would suggest you using the factory as your center...if that is ok?

Vipers Sample+++Final Revision++++?

Is this a wrap Jessie? Or do you see some things you would like to change. Fixed the spelling of the wing..as well as made the two mod replacements you requested.

sopheak, didnt realize I put the same image up twice, please look at the post again and let me know if you are happy with it, and if this is a final version ready to be printed?

You didn't want to use any of the new images...factory or plam tree as one of the smaller images?

Thanks Keith. I think I'm leaning towards the first one. I figure since that shot is the highest res I got, it will look best when you try to print it full size.

I think we can lose the license plate frame from the mods list, and maybe separate the tires and wheels into 2 items to make it look like I have more stuff. Can we do anything about the word "Competitions" being broken up?

Researched some quotes, like the first one 'cause it's simple... 2nd is just a cool quote:

1. "Life is short, drive fast"
2. "Racing is life. Anything before or after is just waiting" - Steve McQueen

I like the 2nd quote best....we'll split the tires/wheels...and work on spacing of competition. Won't be able to get to it till the weekend though.

Hey guys, I noticed you take some nice pics and I was wondering what kind of cameras you're using. I've been looking at the Canon S3 IS, since it has awesome zoom capabilities (12x with image stabilization) which would be great for autox pics. I'm not looking for pro-level stuff like SLRs and this one seems like a good value. Think it's going on my xmas list.

January is Finalized (1st page completed) 1/12 complete

Thank you Jessie...your completed page is reflected on the first post. When we get all 12 pages complete, I will open up another thread in the multimedia section to share with everyone else. You can have cake and ice cream now

I was looking at three factors in my purchase:

1) size of the optical zoom (10x for my current camera)
2) megapixels, and options for high/low resolution (4 megapixels for my current camera
3) initial cost with camera and 512mb memory cards.

I found a bunch of great deals online...but after ordering two and getting no products, I went down to Best Buy and just picked one up. If I recall, the camera was about 249 or so...then another 15-20 for the memory card. It comes with a 56mb card which is basically useless....holds like 8 shots.

At the time I was looking, 8 megapixels was the best, but these cameras were usually the small ones, with limited zoom. The other alternative was really high zoom, but really low megapixels. The camera I purchased was not really good in one category, but a good overall buy.

wow, great job guys... i'm fine w/ the factory shot. i like the 3rd shot of the 1st set and the 1st shot of the 2nd set. i think the latter is nicer because of the green in the left & right small pix. if u guys agree then it sounds good to me...

ok, so these are the two you are deciding between. Is there something we could do to one of these, to make it stand above the other one as your favorite....?

I want you to pick the shots you like...if you want a palm tree one, go with it...you want a loading doc one...fine too. This is as much your calendar as ours. I was just making a suggestion.

EDIT: Detrich would like 1st pic Test 2c

By the way MP5 - Keith bought the FujiFilm 5100 with 4 megapixels and 10x optical zoom. don't look at digital zoom - that is useless. Same thing you do on the computer when you edit.

Yep, I know. The Canon is 12x optical zoom, pretty crazy. Digital zoom is retarded.

Ok - here are some pics of the parking structure. The first one was taken at 4pm and the second at 7pm. By 10 it is empty. but I love the shadows cast by the bright white light on the bright white walls and colomns. Then again - I'm wierd

Good find! That would make an awesome place for a photoshoot. Wish the parking garages around my place were nice like that.

mmm... i think the layout looks really good already. of the final two, the more i compare, the more i think i like the first of the two. the proportions of the car in the small pix looks the most comfortable.
