WHEW!!! Lucky is right!

BlackRX82006 11-20-2007 12:51 AM

That's a butt pucker moment...and MazdaManiac, my girlfriend and I were cracking up when you were tailgating that minivan and going side to side.

Sounds like you 2 got lucky.

No such thing. We were just paying attention.
Tim just had the "misfortune" of having a 1000 foot lead in the cop.
I saw him as soon as I cleared the jersey wall.

In retrospect, I guess I agree with Jeff, although I know myself well enough to know that the check of my mirrors WAS a little lucky.

True luck would have been me mashing the throttle only to startle him into dropping his jelly doughnut and coffee all over his 10 gallon gut just before losing control and spinning out on the freeway. :Eyecrazy: Now THAT would have been LUCKY!

Luck? That would have been epic!

Toys For Tots Cruise to Wickenberg

Hope you don't mind Tim. Thought we should get this posted, it's not too far away.

Sunday, December 2, 2007 RCCAZ will participate once again in the Annual Toyz for Totz Holiday Cruise to Wickenburg. Sponsored by Remember When Cruise Association, toys that are donated benefit the Wickenburg, Arizona based organization “Cops Who Care.” Bring at least one new unwrapped toy and meet at 7:00 am (see directions below). Coffee & Donuts (ummm… donuts) will be available at the departure point. Cruise Time to Wickenburg is 8:00 am.
Directions to Toyz for Totz departure point:

Meet Location is Honeywell, (east side of I-17) the same as years past, however they are putting a building right in the middle of the south parking lot that we use. So we will be using the north parking lot with access off I-17 Exit 214-B, the Union Hills/Yorkshire exit. You will turn right (east) at Yorkshire which becomes Utopia and then turn right (south) into the Honeywell parking lot.

No problem. Between the two of us, we'll keep them both updated. :)

Question, is it really at 7 in the morning?

RCCAZ 1 11-28-2007 09:20 PM

It says 8 am on their web site, but it seems like other years we met at 8 am and departed at 9. I'll see if I can't contact someone tomorrow from their organization to verify the time.

Yep.

http://www.rememberwhencruise.com/toyz_for_totz_07.htm

Previous years we departed by 10, however this year it is an 8am departure.

BlackRX82006 11-29-2007 12:07 AM

7?!? Ouch that hurts. Oh well it's for a good cause

RCCAZ 1 11-29-2007 10:59 AM

Just checked with my contact at Remember When Cruise Assn and the meet time is indeed 7 am with 8 am departure. They used to delay it until 9 am due to church services that were held previous years at the community center. Those church services no longer take place there.
