Sue, did you get any pictures on the drive? Timarie just took pictures of us, she's not too hot on taking pictures of the actual drive. And by the way, what is the next drive?

No sorry, didn't get any on the drive up or down... Just at the zoo meeting place and on top of SM. I was busy concentrating... :eyetwitch

Gripping on to the, what I call the 'Jesus Christ Holy Bar'? And smashing your foot on the imaginary brake? I'm still remembering those pictures in my head. Were there any injuries to yourself? I understand you not wanting to drive your own car personally, do you have those hardcopied at all? I'd want to have them on my compute to show some of my friends. I told them what happened

No, I wasn't really cringing that badly. I feel secure enough I can make the 'drive' now.
No serious injuries to myself or passenger. I had burns from the air bag on my hands and a serious bruise fromt he seat belt, and he (my ex) had a small cut on his forhead. The EMT's, park ranger and firemen were amazed. They had (I think) a 350Z a few weeks before with not so good an outcome. This vehicle is superbly built, it saved our lives and is why I got another just like it.

PM me your email addy and I'll send them to you.

BlackRX82006 01-02-2008 10:44 PM

That's good to hear. Atleast you got minor injuries for all of the right reasons. I was really shocked at the damage but then I also saw how well it stayed together. Did ALL of the airbags go off?

Heres a link to a couple of videos on the way down the Mountain.

Eric, I know you can push it much harder than that. But I do understand because you never know when traffic a bicyclist is there. On the 2nd video, second :30, that's a butt clincher right there

09Factor 01-16-2008 01:29 PM

So is there something happening the 19th of January?

09Factor... sorry for the delay to the 2008 calendar. Sometime this week... I promise.

Until then, here's a few pics from Jeff and my big adventure last Thursday. A friend of mine at work invited us to tag along with him and the AZ Lamborghini Club as they met at the Pavs and caravanned up to the Russo and Steele auction. Needless to say, that cruising up the 101 with 10 Lambos in front of you was pretty damn impressive. Ryan Mechelke (Black FD) and myself rounded up the back of the pack with Maniac riding shotgun in my friend Udo's red Countach. Needless to say, we had a great afternoon ;). Jeff was heard to say "Wow... REAL Lambo Doors."

Here's a few pics from the day!

More pics....

Too bad that Rush Hour traffic hindered our pace. However, it probably saved several of us tickets in the process :)

Hi Ray :)

This thread was DE-stickied a few weeks back and the 2008 was newly stickied. So.. the problem here is... peeps not paying attention but I get it :D:

MazdaManiac 02-11-2008 11:55 PM

I guess I should just un-sub from it, that way I'm not tempted to answer stuff that gets posted!
How did it get re-stickied?

BlackRX82006 02-12-2008 09:29 AM

As they said above, check out the 2008 RCCAZ events post and all your questions will be answered.

I too am guilty of looking at the subscribed posts and missing the new one.
