I live like 5 min. away from alhambra mazda, they're ok but I really don't like them that much. Anehime is the worst dealer I've ever been to. They tried to rip me off and tore up my contract infront of my face when I was buying my car, so I left to Galpin. Galpin has really good service and they wash my car everytime I take it there. Alhambra never wash my car, then again I don't like other people to wash my car anyway.

yellowRX, you live on Garfield? I saw a yellow one parked on the driveway there...

There's also a Blue one in Alhambra on McLean/Garfield...

But ya, I don't go to Alhambra either, doesn't seem like they have the space to handle anything, and the service guy said the RX-8 was his first Rotary car he's worked on... hmmm, I'd still prefer someone with a bit more knowledge of the Rotary.

Good news, y'all... I just picked up my Group 1 (May '03 build) RX-8 from West Covina Mazda, and they did both recalls. They did the inspection, my fuel tank and other underbody parts were not heat-damaged, so they installed the heat-insulating pad over the fuel tank, reflashed the car, and sent me on my way. Work was accomplished in one morning (I dropped it off last night right before 6 PM, and it was done by 1PM today).

Riccio, while I was there I saw Bill moving your car, and I told him "I know the lady that owns that car!" He said, "Have you seen her car?? It's amazing!" He showed me your custom leather interior and all your cool carbon fiber stuff under the hood. He said "She's the Carbon Fiber Queen!" He meant it as a compliment, so don't get mad at him! He really likes your car. He said he'd been trying to reach you today to let you know your car was ready, but he hadn't gotten in touch with you yet.

Thanks for the news on the car - he couldn't reach me cuz I'm home with some sort of virus.

Nice to know Bill likes the car - the "Queen of Carbon Fiber" is what I call myself....

Can't wait to get the car back tomorrow!

Let's hope for your sake they've cleaned up their act.
wtf... thats pathetic dude.. sometimes dealers *most of the time* are lazy jerks...

I live on Atlantic blvd in back of the washington mutual. I seen a blue RX-8 with a Mazdaspeed body kit, along with a buch of other modded 8s in the area. So manny 8 owners in monterey park/Alhambra area and none of them on this forum.

yellowRX, I live right there too. I have a blue 8. I am only there on weekends now since I moved out recently. That's where my parents live. I've seen a Titanium Gray 8 parked in the drive way around the same block. Maybe we can get together sometimes. We should make a local club.

Hey, sounds good to me. I've seen the grey 8, he lives right up the street from me. Right now i'm in Thailand and I wont be back till the 8th of this moth. I have a few friends that have a weekly meet every thurs. near focus plaza on vally blvd. all accords and RSX they're all cool tho, so if you have time we can always meet up there. I was thinking of seeing if anyone in the club was intrested in haveing a meet there, since the OC meet dosent really go on anymore. My friends have been haveing the meet there for a while now and it's just a bit empty city lot, so I thought it would be a great place for a meet.
