I think the autocross thing you're talking about is HPDE. That's this coming weekend. I'm not gonna make it .

Here's where you can find pics of the Tombstone Run. We mixed in pics of the whole weekend cause we met up at Heart Attack Grill Saturday night too.

Awww... sorry I missed out on the drive. I'm getting good at that Guess I need to check the board daily vs weekly.

I used to be at Superstition Springs and Power but just moved out to Gold Canyon (Kings Ranch). I miss seeing 8s!! Everyone out there has an old granny car. Or a beater.

What's up with HPDE?

Not sure where Gold Canyon is, but it just SOUNDS far LOL.

Last I heard on HPDE is:

HPDE Track Days @ Phoenix International Raceway Feb 3 & 4 (THIS WEEKEND)
You can chose from one day or both (for more $)

$159 for HPDE 1 & 4
$149 for HPDE 2 & 3
$90 for US Drift

http://168.158.29.110/schedule.asp (hope that works!!!)

Our VP's scrambling to get his EVO 8 out there, so I'm waiting for more info from him, but most likely gonna miss this. Me and a 350z buddy of mine are trying to get ready for Trial By Fire in Tucson: http://www.trialbyfire.org/events.html But I don't wanna go for the whole performance competition drift craze. I wanna go to learn how to better handle this car from an instructor. It's cheaper than Bondurant! Lol

Gold Canyon's not THAT far... just head east on 60, it's the last bit of civilization before the drive to Globe... which, incidentally, is an awesome drive for an 8 - the twisties are good times once you get the route down. I work there, so I have the pleasure of driving it everyday.

Thanks for the HPDE and TBF info; I'm checking out the sites right now And I joined the TVL site - looks good!

OH!!! One of the guys on my Team lives out there. We're having a get together at his place for his birthday in a few weeks. 8)

No problem on the info. We always try to get out to actual PERFORMANCE DRIVING events rather than just hang out all the time (even though we DO hang out all the time LOL).

Cool: You just might be! I'll be 26 in May. I should have had one of these 4+ years ago, but I thought it was a better idea to dump a few grand into mods on my 98 and 2000 Eclipses instead. I know... live and learn. LOL

Oh and happy birthday!!!

Coolme: Happy Birthday!! Hope it's a good day and year for you!
I'm 24 and I don't have a wife (that'd be on the odd side seeing as I'm a girl). Or kids.

SirZ: it's a good place to live. Close but distant. Maybe I'll join up with you guys sometime for an event since scheduling won't let me make it to the ones coming up quickly And/or keep us Easterners posted on drives y'all have coming up?

I'll keep you guys up to date. We try to do something car related and some kind of install or tech day at least once a month, and we have a weekly (or more) hangout someplace to just chill, talk ****, and kick back. I know there's a party coming up in the next few weeks, a Birthday BBQ in Gilbert on the 17th, and a trip to Vegas in July for Round 3 (I think) of either D1GP or Formula D (can't remember-had a long night). So I'll be posting up stuff frequently and extending invites!
