anyone from sacramento/davis area?

i've noticed an influx of 8's in the sacramento/davis area lately and was wondering if any of them were on the board.

I was hoping to find folks on this forum from Sac./Davis. I haven't seen another 8 since I bought my car a few weeks ago but I gathered you're out there. I started a thread about finding a good service dept. in Sac but got no responses. Anybody know of any??

Thanks

Hi... I live in Citrus Heights also. Drive all over the Sac area. I have a Blue RX8 with Dark Enkei RSV rims and tinted windows. Front air dam and RB xhaust is also noticeable.

Good to meet all of you!

Hey SecrtSqurl...

Where in Citrus Heights are you? I have not seen any modded 8's in around here. I have been considering the RB exhaust, but would really like to hear it in person. A buddy of mine reported a gathering of blue 8's at the Carl's Jr paking lot on Antelope/Tupelo. Maybe you were one of them?

I live off Greenback and Auburn. I work in South Sac though. I have never been to a meet of just 8's though. I did go to that Rotary meet off Rpseville Rd last month. It would be cool to meet up with other owners!

Cool car for someone still in High School... My first car was a 73" Vega.... Quite the bucket! I probably graduated close to the same year of your mom and dad.... lol .... Still cool to see another "8" owner so close... This is my most current pic... but I added the Mazda front air dam, and and waiting for the Mazdaspeed side skirts!

I'll second that. My first car was a '66 VW Baja Bug that I paid 500 bucks of hard earned paper route cash for.

Hopefully you will respect what you have and not trash it, or street race it. If you must race, take it to the track. Enough preaching...

We should all get together sometime and compare pen... I mean rides.

I think that is a cool idea. As corny as it sounds... almost a mini-meet. I have the RB exhaust that Toddman wants to eyeball for a reason to get together.

He pm'd me and we both agree that with all the psychos and car jackers out there that a very public place is the best choice for a first meeting. My date fell through tonight, so tomorrow may be possible. Like I told Toddman, I usually hang out with my brother and nephews (Dodge SRT4, 300 Twin Turbo, and LS-1) at his house off Watt Ave. I will pm you guys with my cell # and you can call me if interested. To be honest, all we do is wash and wax our cars, drink beer, and babbble cars. Not all that fun.

thanks secrtsqurl for your pm. I didn't get your pm till later and i already had plans last weekend.

I'm thinking that maybe we can all meet up maybe saturday morning/noon or something. I know a lot of bikers have meets at the corner of arden/howe by that starbucks/jaamba juice. Its a nice place to post up and there is food real close by. what do you all think?

Down for lunch? maybe a small drive around town?

I just waxed my car... hopefully it keeps pretty till then!

I got a late call and had to work last weekend, but this weekend is totally open. Day or evening doesnt matter for me! I got a message from Todd this weekend, but accidentally erased the messagae with his #. That Hooters in Natomas might not be a bad place either. Open area, food, and......... ya know....
