That is INSANE... I suggest we go somewhere else if we have to pay that kind of money and provide our own portable toilets... yes it did say to provide 1 per 200 people. I think that info is more for weddings etc. but I didn't see anything that said you could just go there for a BBQ without permission.

Then under rules and regs there's this tidbit:
Items Not Permitted on Premises:
This list includes, but is not limited to the following: bottled gas in any form, "fog" or "smoke" producing equipment, rice for throwing, confetti or glitter, and guns or weapons of any kind.

I guess that rules out cars with NOS. :D
damn, i really wanted to bring my ak47 and grenade collection

The entire fogwatch picnic area seems way more than what we need. The fee seems to include all 75 parking spaces and all the barbaque pits. I guess just crashing the place is out of the question?

Fogwatch Picnic Area
The Fogwatch Picnic Area is ashaded picnicarea that is located on the western shore of the island and offers unobstructed views of the San Francisco skyline.

Barbecue Facilities - yes
Restrooms - none
Parking Space - 75 spaces

I just talked to the main organizer for the rsx club's TI gathering, and he said that there is not charge. Just gotta show up early. Not sure if its true or not...but do you all think we should have a back up plan? Or just hope and pray for the best?

I emailed Lori (from the website), she is out of the office until Monday. Lets see what the official word is. We still have enough time to come up with an alternative if necessary.

I kinda think that would be better anyway. More people...more cars...more hot chicks...I mean educated young ladies...more food.

Lori replied today. The BBQ/picnic areas are first come first serve if there aren't any events scheduled for the day. I asked about the 6th, nothing scheduled. She did make it a point to mention NO PUBLIC RESTROOMS !!! Just thought I would make sure everyone was aware of that little detail!!! LOL :D

Then silly me almost signed up for a motorcycle safety class today for that weekend!! DOH !!! Glad I didn't sign up, guess my motorcycle lessons can wait a couple of weekends!!!

That would be nice, but do you think we'd get there in time to actually get a BBQ area?

It doesn't really matter to me. If we do the hayward thing does anyone want to go for a drive afterwards?

We should decide which we are doing fairly soon so people can make plans and if we need to sign up to bring stuff. Also I would like to make sure everyone knows which one we are doing so nobody shows up at the wrong place and is disappointed.

What kind of drive? If you mean karting at LeMans in Fremont then I'm totally up for that. But then again you could say, "let's celebrate national earthworm day by karting" and I'd be up for that as well.

there's a lot of BBQ area, i don't think it'll be full that saturday. IF it does, i think with the amount of people and cars we have there, we'll scare them away. J/K
