Maybe you can try Mazmart or something? If there is a salvage yard with a RX-8, can you pick me up an ashtray while you're there? I distrust dealership work, even warranty work.

Sorry about your license Zach and glad you're okay dj. The stock wheels weight 22 pounds and the stock Bridgestones weigh 28 while the Dunlops weight 25.

So stock weight of each wheel should be about 50 pounds? That seems pretty damn heavy...

If you take them to a Fedex place, they weigh them there. You could just take 1 wheel in and have them weigh it and give u a quote

Are you shipping the wheel with the tires? You can ship it via Greyhound as well.

I don't want to take it to a fedex place, I just want to know how much they weigh. I can ship them from work. Yea I'm shipping the wheels with the tires.

FYI stock weight for wheels ONLY in a box

ESTIMATE 30LBS WITHOUT TIRE. That's always safe.

This is negligible considering I'll TAKE THEM BRUTHA

Rishie, how's the part out going? Did you get all that stuff off? What has everyone been doing, it's been quiet...

Rishie, what do you think of toyo RA-1's, I found a good deal on them and was thinking if these tires are worth it.

I've been getting ready for my Israel trip.

DJ, I'll find out prices from Mazda when I get back. Sorry, I've been busy.

RA-1 are good tires for track. I wouldn't drive them on street.

part out will begin tomorrow or thursday.

Be done by the weekend for sure. I should get it done in one evening really. I grabbed all my oem parts from storage today. so glad i have all that **** boxed up nicely.

Throwdown, how about this weekend. Before DJ takes my rims. lol....

David, I echo Rishie's advice. Personally, I think RA-1s are probably more useful to me than you. RA-1s are a mild R compound and will offer a ton of grip, but the trade-off is probably too much for normal street use as it'll be louder, harsher riding, and wear quicker. Unless you really need that extra grip, and I don't think you do, RA-1s aren't a great choice.

Rishie let's do it during the week if possible. That way I can just bring them to work and then drop them off at your place on my way home. I can do Thursday or Friday.

I'm glad I talked to you guys before I buy anything... Rishie, I'll be down there next Saturday if that works with you.

If you want the tires let me know, $700 for 245/40/18, 1 set of 4.

Sweet a new SM person. We meet every Friday night in Union City, at Union Landing in the parking lot next to the Krispy Kreme.

I live in the neighborhood that's in between K-Mart and the Marriot.

Hey everyone. I'm relatively new too. Just found the Bay Area part of this forum. I picked up a black '05 a few months ago. I just moved from San Mateo to San Carlos. I'm down for a Bay meetup. It'll be good to see some more 8's.

Sweet dude.

Friday, Union Landing in Union City in the Krispy Kreme parking lot. 7 pm.

Throwdown and I should be out there a bit earlier.

Wow, it'd be nice to get some more 8's out there.

Ever!!! What did you buy now... Zach won't be able to make it out for awhile, too bad we don't have too many members north enough to pick him up. If you can bart into the city by 5pm or Bart down to Hayward by 7, I can take you home that night.

Alright! I hope to see the new faces out at the meet.
