Attention:

Alright everyone, heres the information on the go karting event.

Location: Le Mans Karting (Fremont)
Time: 8:30pm
Date: 2/09/07
Price: $75 @ the door

LeMans Karting Website: http://www.lemanskarting.com/

Here's the lowdown for everyone, what's going to happen is that we reserved space for 15 people for the karting event. We will all meet up at Union Landing unless you are closer to the karting place and if that is so, you can meet us there at around 7:45pm to 8pm. But if you're not going to head there, we will meet at union landing at EXACTLY 7pm. Me and David both decided on leaving Union Landing at around 7:30pm exact so if you're not there at 7:30pm, we'll be heading towards LeMans Karting. So please be there at 7pm guys!!!!

Anyways, along with the price of karting, i'll also need a $5 deposit for food for karting. So there will be a total of $80 per person. But to know that you are serious for attending this event, please send me the $5 for before this event. If you have paypal, send the $5 to my paypal ( requiemdreamer@sbcglobal.net ).

If you're serious about attending this event please put your name down on the list below and please send the deposit to me. If you're going to have a guest join you, please put them as guest and send the deposit with yours. Thank you all.

1. Mazdaspeed RX8 Ver2 (Jon) [$5 Received]

We're doing the Super Prix? Considering how some people haven't karted before, it might be better to do the combo package or something. 40 minutes in even the little putt-putt karts at Le Mans can leave a person seriously hurting.

Not talking about being scared to kart (I brought up karting in the first place after all), but is the Super Prix 40 minutes of racing? Le Mans Karting has unimpressive karts, but 40 minutes in even that thing will leave a person very tired. I'm worried about people getting fatigued halfway through a race, which would make it very unenjoyable for them. Then again if it's already reserved for the Super Prix, then what's done is done and I would happily welcome seat time.

its not 40 min of straight time. There are heats, I think you stop in between the heats.

I don't meen to be a party pooper, but I have a family and I would rather spend $75.00 on them. I will take pictures. Thats a lot of money. I know some of you live at home and I have a $1245 a month rent, insurance, two car payments, electricity, water, credit cards, cable and many other bills to throw away $75.00 is a lot of money for me.

Consider your other alternative is to show up at SCCA SFR autocross and spend $45 for three runs, which lasts about 50sec/run. So if you are an adrenaline junkie, karting definitely gives you more bang for the buck.

I just happen to be an autox addict, so have fun you guys.

Earlier? How am I supposed to get my car? It's currently at Almaden Mazda for the recall and to get the gear oil smell investigated. I figured I'd leave work early tomorrow to pick up the car, but I'm not sure now...

Sadly, I have almost the same amount of bills, except for the two car payments (I know that makes a big difference) and I pay slightly less in rent. You have a wife though, I get to cook every night after I get home at around 8.
