Lots of cars get moisture in it...
Dealer changed the gasket but it is now cracked in the middle of it...
Took it off and brought it inside the dry out then the hair line crack went up it...
Very odd.

since I've only been pulled over once before (for some bs reason[no ticket]) i felt like i should just say this: i got pulled over again tonight on the freeway trailing a cop doing 80.. so he braked and pulled me over on my off ramp at the exit to my house, so basically, it would have been a 80+ in a 65 zone, but he LET ME GO! hahaha! it was SJPD and not highway patrol, so thats probably why, because he just went through the light to get back onto the freeway, so he had other business he was getting to.. anyways, i learned two lessons tonight

1. dont speed

2. dont race a cop. ever!

im going to have to sleep this one off haha :D

HAHA i once had a convoy of CHP passing me coming back from santa barbra after 4 cops passed and i say a least 6 car gap i decided so slow and let the other car catch up and rev it so they wanna race, then not race and let them get a ticket.... the perfect plan, only to my knowledge it was a god damn chp followed by 4 more chp. LIGHTS on 4 cars tends to scare the living **** out of you. i pulled over along with the other 4 officers, and my friend in the passenger says hey look they are turning around too. i had 8 chp next to me all learning what to do . only good thing is they said since i was polite and no rec, and they fact they had 7 cars with 1 officer and 1 trainee per car, and they liked the nitrous hidden by with the throttle body from Ray they said it was a learning experience for everyone.... thank you god

i think you are referring to me? omg. i cant even imagine that. sound almost like my very first police encounter, which has nothing to do with cars, except that i parked it weirdly under the shadows, cuz we walked to the park past midnight.. then theres 3 cops there, and one of my friends is on parol i guess, and they cuff him.. and as soon as he sits down, he puts his arms under his legs to move it to the front, and 2 of them tackle him, and they call for back up, and in the end there is like 6 cops and 2 sheriffs there... but yeah.. anything involving cars and cops, yeahhhhh, nooo i dont play that way!

GUESS who got pulled over again tonight. yeah it was me. saw him come too, pull a u-turn, everything..
what i was doing: just cruising because i got my drunk friend some food after Jack in the Box denied us.. twice
the reason?
no front plates and my tint is too dark.
lol WTF? i kept myself from informing him that it was dark outside, it'd be hard to see in anyways.. but i purposely asked if zip ties would keep my plate on good

anyways, i have a question... he did not give me a fix-it-ticket... he just told me to take care of my plates and tint.. do i still have to do it? personally, i will not. my tint was expensive, and i've uglied up my 8 enough as it is.. also my tint isnt that dark. and i will probably never see him again/him see me. I dont frequent LGPD territory as much as SJPD

these cops sure love to pull my car over.. maybe its just me? all they're getting out of me is a pullover count, no moneys, its mine

thanks in advance

You dont have to do ****. He was using it as an excuse to pull you over to see if he could get you on a DUI or something

do we have to keep our license plates on our windshield? i mean i usually put mine on when its late at night, but during the day i hardly if ever keep it on. Where did you guys get your tints? and price?

windshield or front bumper? i say if you dont want it on the bumper and dont mind the windshield, just keep it in the windshield so you dont give them a reason to pull you over (previous experience)
and along with that recent experience, the cop said my tint was too dark (22%) lies, just another excuse, since it was at night..

AND I got mine done at Mr. Tint on Kiely.. They did both sides 22% for $175 (including taking off the rear side window's tint[not the rear window]), and they did a superb job. And if you have to go to somewhere close by, then they'll take you there in one of their cars. In my case, I dropped it off while I went to school, so they took me to get Burger King and dropped me off at school. pretty legit IMO.. And there is a lifetime warranty.. so long as they stay in business, which they should, they do fantastic work..

anyways, enough about it sounding like im advertising them.. no one likes cracked purple tint, and especially not on our 8s, so just go there or something
