Ok. Seriously why does it take forever to start the car at a gas station after filling up...
If I drive and it gets hot it is getting hard to start about 5 min later...

Anyone found the actual cause...

that's a symptom of possible low compression

Sorry to hear your going to the Stealership today, I hope everthing works out for you there. What kind of car does your wife have? Dang July is a long ways away huh.
I've seen a Black RX 8 Cruising around DVC today, nice looking 8. Well anyhow I hope you all have an awesome weekend and watchout for the CHP this weekend. They had a lot of Speed traps on Hwy 24 this afternoon.

Btw, I went to the courthouse today to try and get it continued, and they said i can not.. But the guy said he could write them a note and they would see if it could be continued or not.. I didnt realize to ask if that meant if it wasnt continued, then it was dismissed... But it doesnt matter, I just want to get this over with. Dunno about wearing a tie and all that.... Maybe a work shirt lol
Bummers about not being about not gettning the continuance, I am from a different county, maybe they have different policies. Nromally you should get to do it once, and CHP should get to do it once too, = 2 I would dress professionally just n case you have a mean judge. Good Luck man...

Actually that guy that I tried to go to for a continuance was smokin crack or something.. When I went for the original court date, the officer did NOT show up.. She was on vacation, called in a continuation, judge said each side is allowed 1 continuance each. Now I was gonna get it continued again, but this Monday is a holiday... My next court date is the day after, 5/31. The officer might be on vacation again, or forget its Tuesday, or something like that.. My judge may have had an epic 3 day weekend, and my court time is at 9 am, and with my last name, I was the first one up at the last appearance, so, that might all play into my hand possibly. I think I'll just go

Yep there's cops everywhere...
My wife's car is a Mazda 6.

So they did test all day were in contact with Mazda headquarters and did all the tests... So now let more engine cleaner sit over night and do more compression tests.
So tomorrow we will see what Mazda headquarters says...

Well the dealer called they said everything is fine for now just needed engine mounts and they are changing then now. I have the crazy warranty that I bought.

The compression test said mine was at 7.5 and 7.6 and 8 I guess is new....
They called mazda and had to do it all by the book.
So they tell them go test this and call us back then after each step call back and when they got the results then they would tell them go check this....

Ended up te last thing to use Mazda engine cleaner let it sit over night and clean it out then do a compression test after that...
So now I get my car later today and all power and issues they said have been restored...

If you read the 2 bulletins for loss of power and engine no start they follow that by the book and it would take 4 hours at least but the put engine cleaner in twice and the last over night to soak in...

I dont know why they let it sit overnight.. I've heard its just ineffective if its left in for over an hour, let alone overnight, but whateverss I guess

So the as station test came yesterday...
To see how it starts when the car is hot.
Yep same still hard to start to maybe 5 secs to turn over...

The dealer said all compression is good and that there is an updated starter they would put on only if mine failed. So might have to fail my starter and clean my plugs out haha...

Damn thing is fine unless starting hot....

Ask if they did the compression test with the engine warm? They are supposed to warm it up, let it sit for 10 minutes then do the compression test.

sounds like you had the same problem mine had before I lost it.. Had to wait at least 5 or 10 minutes before I could start it again after driving it to the store or wherever. Pain in the ***. I dont miss that wait at all

I will call them back up tomorrow and find out.
Too bad it's a holiday.
Stupid dealer.

Does anyone know the tests scores by a dealer to know what range is time for a new engine. Mine was 7.4 7.5 7.6 and 7.6 8.0 8.0 but who knows if that was tested cold.

Geesh I normally never write on posts as you can see my posts count.
Thris thread used to be more alive... But rain makes it suck all around...

Hey crazy thought if cats are so expensive why not slap in a bolt on mid pipe to get rid of it and keep it them every smog put it on for a month for smog tests then afte just take it back off.
Pros cons. It will last longer and not go out if decarbing but is louder and leaves a check engine light on in told...
