Thanks I think the tail light is going to have to wait until I get done with my last college course in Fresno. I'll be back at the end of July. At least the heat will dry it out. That is if I don't die down there before I get back. I have issues with heat stroke. This is why I moved to the bay area. So keep my posted on this RX8 gathering.

I was just thinking HKS because I have a cousin who works for them, fairly high up. I will eventually want a turbo but that costs an arm and a leg. There are little things that need to be done before then like a tint job. Got burn on my way to Vegas.

I am looking foward to getting my ride back from the Autobody Shop this Tuesday, darn tree branch whacked it and left a deep dent in it. The shop was painting it last I observed. Hope it looks good. Darn tree

It was supposed to be on the 16th but lack of organization has pushed it back(more than likely) to the 23rd. Take a look at the few pics of some of the cars https://www.rx8club.com/west-rx-8-forum-34/central-valley-rotaries-thread-219125/

So I didn't get a response from my last question I'll try again.....

Is anybody headed to Laguna Seca for the Grand Am cars? I know they are having a Mazda corral and expect to see a few 8's.

So I finally got my car all fixed. Damn gas cap went bad and the shop pointed the head lights a whole five feet in front of the bumper. The guy at North Fresno Collision Center also told me that if the battery dies while in the car it can flood the engine. I'm smelling some BS. Any truth in it?

Definetly bs, car will only flood if you have a bad starting system ie starter, plugs, coils etc, start it cold then shut it off right after

So walking around Laguna Seca, I spotted this Mini. I know 3 of those tracks 1)Sears Point 2)Laguna 3)? 4)Thunderhill What is the third track? Anybody got any suggestions? Its gotta be a west coast track since the other three are in CA. This has been bothering me ever since I saw the car. Speaking of Laguna, I only saw 3 rx-8, a rx-7, and a hand full of Miatas at Mazda's home track while walking around the tracks . The lack of presence from mazda at their own track was a let down. I had a great time watching the Grand Am cars. Name: IMAG0373.jpg

I disagree. A bad battery could allow the starter to turn the motor while injecting fuel but not spinning it fast enough to let it start. Multiple tries could result in flooding.

That could be possible if your repeaditly cranking it but if the battery was that weak, you would think it would die before being cranked enough times to flood. My understanding was if the battery completely died it would automatically be prone to flooding if tried to turn on. This sounds highly unlikely and quote me if I'm wrong but also slim to none as long as everything been kept up.
