Tires For Bay Area Living
Hey guys,
It's about time for me to get new tires. I currently have Kumho Ecsta SPT's and I liked them. They seem to handle the rainy weather but obviously, this being my first winter with the car and having summer tires, that were towards the end of their life on, I was rather careful when driving in the rain.
Now that its time for new tire, I've been looking online and came across the Kumho Ecsta 4X, which are all season tires. This brings me to my question: For daily driving in the Bay Area, can I do with the SPT's or opt for 4X's?
Thanks in advance. Your advice is always valuable.
I hope to see you all at a meet soon!

BTW I roll Federal Super Street 595 235/40/18 all around.
I would go with which ever has better handling and grip only becuase I like to take turns hard and drift when it rains.
Hope this helps.

Thanks, ORADA76! Website is very helpful. Now I've got other options to consider. Better to have lots of options. BTW I tried searching your tires and couldn't find them...how do you like them?

Try this link on my tires. I do likem and the only real reason I got them is becuase they were on sale. Other then that, I would have gone for Bridgestone Potenza's.
