By the way all we have an event coming up this coming weekend. JULY 20th.

It's Korean BBQ and Dave and Busters Meet.
here's the link

https://www.facebook.com/events/218671024947107/

If you don't have FB here's the details

ACTIVITY:
We'll be meeting up at Jang Su Jang (a korean bbq place located in Milpitas) to eat and hang out. There after we will caravan to Dave & Busters for games.

LOCATION:
We will meet first in the designated parking spot and then walk in to sit at 8pm.

I will be there early and will barricade off parking for the meet.

COST:
Prices for the Korean BBQ are 10-15 a plate. Unless you do bbq which is 30 dollars a plate but it can feed almost 4 people. The bbq meals include rice and tons of side dishes as well. Vegetarian options are also available here. If money is an issue the dinner plates are a great option to go with since they are extremely filling.

Dave & Busters is anywhere from 10 bucks to well whatever you want.

Jang Su Jang Milpitas Address:
269 W Calaveras Blvd
Milpitas, CA 95035

Dave & Busters Address:

If anyone is bored this Sat the 17th, Seaside is having their Concourse d'Lemons. Think carshow for oddball cars and it's free to the public.

Anyone in the bay area with an R3?

I would be your best friend forever for a 3 minute test drive. I test drove the R3 three years ago and still have a memory for the handling. I'm about to test drive some Lexus IS models and before I pull the trigger on them I'd really like to see if the handling has the same feel to me now as it did then.

Available to meet-up whenever/wherever. I recently moved from MA to work in the UC system.

please pm

Well, I sold my 09 RX8 GT with 22K miles in August. Picked up a new 13 FJ Cruiser. Miss my car, but got my girl a 13 IS20, so it is fun to drive. Shoot, I actually sold my other car too so I am down from 2 cars to 1... But I can do so much in my FJ. It is unique like the RX8 even down to the suicide doors

I am looking at the next rotary car Mazda will release. Shoot, I almost chose the Mazdaspeed 3, but ultimately picked up the only SUV I ever liked.

I have a few items that any RX8 fan will like. Please check my posts on craigslist... For you fans, make an offer and I will most likely accept it

Racing Shirt / Hat
RX8 Merchandise

License Plate Frames
License Plate Fames and Spiked Screws

No R3, but I did go from a 09GT to a 13 IS. The IS handles pretty dog gone good, but I still like the 8 handling more. The 8 was very forgiving in the curves and you could keep your speed in and out of sharp turns. I hold the brakes a tad bit longer in the IS. On the road, the IS's turning and handling is very sharp. The 8 was just more sporty and sharper than the IS is. The IS may grip the corners better in the rain though... It has not rained for me to try, but the 8 was scary in the rain.. Shoot, I slipped a few times.

The IS mixes sport and sedan pretty well... For me, driving the IS only makes me miss the rx8... But the MPG and roomier interior is a good trade off. The IS is also a tad softer in ride quality. Driving the 8, you felt it all... But the 8 is beautifully, tight, ridged, and responsive. Such a nice performance car...

Good evening everyone,
I just want to let everyone know that I'm still alive for once and two.. I'll be starting to build up the Nor Cal Mazda club again. I do know a lot of the older members are on facebook which i do not have anymore and i want to thank everyone whose been keeping that up like Zack, Grace and everyone and definitely keep doing what you're doing!

The game plan for what i'm planning to do is set up a legitimate club, getting more involved with the community and more involved with motorsports and definitely bring a positive image for the "Mazda" brand as that is what we're revolving around especially rotaries.

The rotary scene here in Northern California is quite small and declining little by little as time passes. Since the loss of Rotary Extreme and Auto RnD (as a rotary specialist though he definitely is still around expanding his own business), it definitely hurt the rotary community. With the death of the rx8 and no replacement confirmed, we are all definitely a dying breed. We definitely are a tight knit community that can strive with other top clubs around the area, state and country but we definitely got to start somewhere.

I'll start hosting monthly meets to just get things started and definitely get the ball moving for this and working on our infrastructure then we can start doing events like larger meets, bbq's, car shows and track days. I also want to invest in the long run in a rotary specialty shop as well.

I would like everyone to definitely be apart of this in building a good community, i definitely want to make some t-shirts for everyone and other merchandise to be all nifty.

Please PM me for any questions and to definitely show interest in helping on building this club. I'm not big on social networking sites but my make a FB page with my user name on it (not meant to rival the current club). I'll also start a mailing list for member events and such later on. Thank you everyone.

Jon B.

Well, I know I haven't been much of a talker on here but I do check every once and awhile. I'm located here in Turlock, Ca, which is a small close city. Ill try getting to the other Rx-8 owners here about the Norcal club.
