if u had $2000.00 what would be the first modifications you would do to your rx8....by the way just got one hence the question. im thinking rims & stereo. What do u guys think?

To be honest, it really depends on what direction you want to go with the car. I go for handling and style, so the first major thing I did was buy intake/exhaust for better sound, then I got coilovers and strut/sway bars, and now I'm working on the body. Got vertical door kit, new wheels and body kit, and new fenders sometime this or next month.
I like things that are more unique so pricing really doesn't matter to me, I spent almost 5k on my wheels/tires because I wanted the best I could get. My coilovers were almost 2k alone, etc.

That's a good deal if you're not into performance coilovers. Springs are dumb because you can't adjust the ride height on them. With coilovers you can set it however low you want, so in the future if you get new tires or a new body kit that is slightly higher or lower than you expected, you can easily change the height to fit them.

Assuming you're driving a standard get a short shifter.
Get a tint
Get a Clear Bra
Tint makes a huge difference during summer. Clear Bra makes me cry less when I hear a rock ping off my car. Short shifter is damn sexy. Just ask Tom. He really liked my shifter, he couldn't' keep his hands off my shifter at all.
Or you could give Dick 1 grand and he'll give you a sweet pair of lambo doors.

you said you would like a stereo, talk to Slip N Slide (Adam) he has a custom setup in his car, not sure how much it costed
Axial flow is like 200 or 250, MS short shifter is rediculous (rip off)
unless you have another 3 grand to spend, rims tires and suspension are out of the question unless you like really cheap crap on your car that doesnt last and even then, thats another 1K atleast
or your like me and find decent second hand stuff
