luv4eternity I also took my car to the dealership and they told me I had to change my ignition coils. They were charging me with $750 for the diagnostic, oem parts, and installation. I went online and found some better coils for $230, called a private company and they said they'll install them for $70. Dealer tryna make a profit? lol but yea what ignition coils did you get because from this forum people are saying how bad and undurable the oem coils are.

yes...the dealership IS making a profit out of u...its the same for me ....if u can do it out side of the dealer ship, i recommended u doing so...BHR ignition coils are a much better coil alltogether compared to the OEM because of how weak the OEM are....if im not mistaken, u should be able to get them around $480++ for those coils...oem are around $200-250...BHR are more expensive but they last WAY longer than OEM...but be sure your private company knows how to change them as they are pretty delicate .... from ppl i know who had BHR, i nvr heard complains about it so far...and even if they did, BHR has good customer service....

Yea BHR would be the way to go.. but a little too expensive for me. I went with NGK ignition coils since their spark plugs are pretty renown. They actually came in today. And yea I looked for a local shop that specializes on Mazdas and has experience with other rotaries.

p.s. i think i just got slightly ripped off today for my alignment..
mazda said the rear failed but the front was fine
goodyear said the rear was fine and they fixed the front alignment..

Last minute Meet ~!
Date/Time : January 13th (Thursday) @ 7:00pm
Location : Mogo's BBQ truck
Address : 749 E Calaveras Blvd, Milpitas CA 95035 ( At the Mervyn's parking lot behind Red Lobster )
Notes: Rumors of my car breaking down has spread all around my area...LOL...therefore planning was such a last minute thing. No worries ppl...my car is back and strong as ever...
i've been getting some request....actually a lot of request on where this weeks meet is at. SO, i will hold a small meet for people who wanna chill tonight. I WILL be there as me and steven...and some other cars will be there to grab some nice Mogo. I'll be there at 7 and most likely it will be quite some fun as we get to talk to other ricers ~
i wont be disappointed if no one makes it coz its pretty last minute but it would be cool if ya can all come out to chill......

welcome to the forums. my dad lives in pinole. i visit from time to time so we should kick it sometime. get a meet goin in that area haha make these jerks from milipitas use THEIR gas to meet up

plus i see a good amount of RX8s in my area, but it just seems like the normal population as they roll stock.

Id be down for a meet over there sometime if we can get a good amount of participants. im not there too often because i live in millbrae w/ my mom. my dad lives in pinole off of appian. sometimes im around for special occasions and random visits. i might be there this coming weekend. ill let you know.

lol, that discount might make me this much closer to getting bhr ignition or a new starter..
and according to derek, jon hasnt responded to his calls or texts, plus he hasnt been on here since december... mysterious.
and i'd be down for whatevs. wednesdays would be good for me so i have time to get up there.. there goes my low miles discount.. oh well, makes it that much easier for me to go to sevenstock this year !

well what about this...milipitas and pinole are like an hour away from each other if not more (traffic, etc) so why not meet somewhere in the middle? like millbrae?

I'm trying to set up the meet for this Thursday but not getting a positive feedback....So, if I don't post by tomorrow, meet this week is a no go too....But if I can get more than 5, it will be after 8... Keep a close eye on the forum

fyi... if theres a meet this week...
im fenderless lol
and im painting some stuff too
the whole fender got bent back from whatever the previous owner hit.. So it will take a lil extra work to unbend the whole thing
