Auto to manual swapped
I was looking through my pics and I just realized I never uploaded my stay in the bay. I think 2 months late is a good time ![Big Grin](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Anyways I stopped and met up with forum member two zero two aka Travis to hear his RB midpipe. All in all great guy and also a great car (first time ever riding in a manual 8 great color too btw

My next stop was to member silkypiko to pick up his springs(main reason came up) and wow this guy had me green with envy after leaving his place. It was dripping sexy in the garage area. The pic says it all

It was finally getting time to go to the meet and I gotta admit this made the whole day worth while. Chatting and meeting some of the San Diego 8's was a great experience. From left to right: me;superhyped(

This thread is dead. At least the topic is. Someone threadjack this and get the meets back up and running
Throw out some suggestions and preferable times
Getting a new car on Wednesday, so I'll be ready to show it off

I didn't want to crap on your thread and I am not being critical, but for several items I am familar with, it looks like you took the retail price and subtracted 20%.
In a booming economy you might get that amount, but in the times where cars are selling 20%+ below KBB you will be very hard pressed to get 30-40% off retail on most aftermarket mods.
I have some lightly used racing brake rotors (1 and 2 piece) I trying to sell and I wish 20% off would happen.
Anyways, Good Luck

Imo, on the forums, you want to sell something to someone that will take good care of it, not abuse it.. You'd also give them a good deal so everyones happy. If you got your moneys worth out of the parts, then down the price it goes.. I feel parts are like a car. As soon as you drive a brand new car off the lot, it depreciates in value. As soon as you drive down the road with a new aftermarket header on your car, guess what happens? It depreciates in value!
When my stupid water pump on my Sebring went out, my dad dropped hundreds of dollars on parts and we fixed it ourselves. Less than 400 miles later, I've got a knocking rod. We let someone take it away for $300 or so. My dad would have liked to get a lot of money out of it.. But **** happens..
Heres an excellent example I have from recently. One my friends, a guy on here actually, with an RX8, used to have an Integra, so he had a bunch of cool parts for it. He wanted to give me a good deal so he went from $900 to $850. But for this stuff, I could have got it brand new for over $1000 or so.. Anyways I worked him down to $550 and everyones happy

Sad truth: The economy is a bitch. haha
I have heard from a little birdy that the meets will kick back up soon, with school ending and all that, so we'll see. I've always been down for a meet though, everyone else has been so busy :/

It also depends on what you are selling, some parts will always hold a better resale value than others. Remember you have to look at rarity, popularity, and where it was originated. You can get the same part which is brand new from the manufacturer, but why pay more for something that will work exactly the same, look the same, and last just as long...
And you said you are trying to sell racing brake rotors... Aren't you marketing toward the racing/track crowd? And from the way I see it... There is a small number of members on this forum who actually races. So maybe thats why you are having a hardtime selling them...
Anyways good luck on your sale too and no hard feelings!

Don't listen to him silvere8, he loves to lowball and tries to justify it with invalid arguments. lol
I see what you are talking about, but you have to understand that I am not firm on all my prices... Reasonable offers are accepted. Also if you recheck my prices... They are not only 20% off from brand new (More like 30-40% off). By what you are saying... I should maybe sell my stuff at 50-70% off (might as well give it away for free...) I am also not in a rush to sell as I have not made up my mind yet on which car I will be getting for my next project.

lol Laythor. Where in San Jose you at? I am in Cupertino and I plan on going to the weekly meet this Wednesday off of Lawrence and El Camino. Just wanted to meet other local 8 owners. I should be there around 6pm.
BTW: That is Treasure Island meet back in 2006. I had a 06 A3 back then.
