emblems?

Yeah i gotta do plugs, coils and wires as well, been about 25k miles so I know im pushing it. time to hit up mazdatrix

 

Yes, the emblems. Was thinking about doing the wheels too but with my luck it's going to come out awful. I usually go with Advance Auto for the plugs and coils and Mazmart for the wires. The coils from Advance are the Intermotor/BWD OEM coils but they come with a warranty so I just return it to them after 30K miles and they get me a new set.

 

Yeah I have bwd coils and an exchanging them for free. Advance is really easy with their process. Really need to just get the bhr ignition. You could always just get a random wheel to practice on first before doing yours.

 

Yep, BHR is definitely the way to go. I've been meaning to get them but stuff keeps coming up that I end up purchasing other stuff and then run out of cash for the BHR. It's definitely on my list to get.

I was thinking about the practicing first before jumping in on the wheels. My success with the emblems will determine how I proceed. I'm seeing good results from people in dipyourcar.com but I don't have a paint gun and all that equipment and obviously the skill...

 

Everyone loves that BHR ignition but then Ive heard people say, its a Chevy product, go with Japanese OEM for your ignition

 

Yep, they are OEM GM Coils but BHR does modify them so in essence it really isn't a "Chevy" product. Everybody swears by it and I like the idea that it has been, for years, the only reliable solution to our unreliable coils. However, with that said, if you stay on top of changing them and keeping up with the maintainance, then OEM coils do the trick. BHR just offers the peace of mind with the costs having to be paid up front and the OEM coils are paid over time. So to each his own...

 

pssh I say just dive in. Hell ill dip my wheels just because.

 

The BHR's are modified Chevy coils, yes, but they do work really well. Paul from Rotorsports thinks the same thing as he believes that the OEM japanese coils are better. All I can say is that the BHR's haven't let me down yet while the OEM's have been changed out several times :P

Where in 209 are you coming from? I'm assuming Turlock but if you were a little further north, I could've met you around stockton.

 

I'm glad we got some people commuting to this. Definitely shows the community is alive, we will have a nice big bbq/meet for the summer season. Sometime in June. NCM's coming out party!

Lol we'll see if more of the Mazda family shows up though. So far it seems only rx's represent. Mmmm bbq. That needs to happen sooner rather than later.

 

Oh, it will. This will be second to last meet to get the foundation members recruited who are passionate for the cause and want to help build up this club.
