bay area tuning shops

has anyone been to/know anyone that has been/or just know anything about any of these tuning shops?

AcuTech Autos - South San Francisco
Auto Headquarter Motorsports - Redwood City
EIP Racing - San Jose
GST Motorsports - Hayward

my local shop isnt familiar with tuning cobb accessports and these are all certified cobb tuners. looking more towards the bottom 3. i've been shooting them some emails just asking them some questions but i'd like to know if any of you guys have any positive or negative experiences with any of them, or if anyone knows a bay area/east bay shop that is familiar with tuning the cobb accessport for the rx8.

If you have the MM AP why are you getting it tuned at a shop instead of sending the data log to MM?

Might not be one of mine.
Plus, some people just don't have the time or patience for the routine.
Since my calibrations are free to AP purchasers, its not like they've lost any money going elsewhere.

I was asking cause he lists it as a MM AP in his sig...

So OP, if you did buy this from MM then you do get tuning with it.. just follow the directions in his thread.

If it isn't an MM AP you can still buy the tuning from him, and there isn't anyone out there more familiar with the AP for the RX8 then MM.

Dynospot Racing is located in San Jose. Clean, well lit shop and a group of nice, well informed guys working there. Some pretty sick Benz & BMWs around their parking lot too.

I'm not sure how familiar they are with Cobb Access ports or even RX-8s ( I had my blown Miata tuned there), but if they ARE familiar with them, I can't think of a better place to take your car.

/signed and Jeff has his own 8 probably 10000x the knowledge that they have on it. well worth the wait imo.

well i am thinking about GST Motorsports - Hayward, since a friend from work recommend them. About AP, i am not sure whether to go with Jeff's tuning when my 8 is completely boosted since Jeff is too busy.

Not an AccessPORT-capable shop.
