Big Bear Crash

I was comming back from Big Bear today, and I saw a black RX-8 on it's roof up against the side of a mountain. a blue RX-8 right in front of it, and a red one in front of that.

I didnt see any other cars involved (could have missed them though) it seems like it was a single car accident. my guess, the driver was pushing it a little to hard and lost controll. I almost stoped to talk to the guy in the red one, but I was in my county vehicle and decided I should just keep going. also kicking myself for not taking a picture with my camers phone.

anyone know who they were? it was so sad seeing an 8 on it's roof. wish I had stoped but I didnt want to be one of thsoe looky loos. and all the cops were there.

... an example of what could happen to one of us on our cruises, if we drive too fast. safety should always be #1, me thinks...

And please leave traction control on (if you have it)
It works wonders.

doesn't matter if you are skilled or not.....there is no way to control what OTHERS are doing on the road with you. We should ALWAYS be safe regardless.........

I agree, thats why (if you havnt noticed) I hold a quick spireted pace when we are on our runs, but nothing to stupid (except last time, Vipers you know what I mean), and if anyone wants to go faster then me, they are welcome to pass me and lead their own pace.

as for DSC - TCS , I personally leave them on when I am driving on the street, it's kinda my "limit" when I feel it kicking in I know I am going fast enough for the street.

anyone that knows me knows that I try to keep the racing on the track. the track is the only true safer way to push your car to the limit. and on an auto cross track, its the only way to push it to the limit, and not really risk crashing the car. If you spin, whats the worse that happends??? you hit a cone or two...... or 10.

anyways, i'm guessing that no one knows who these people were. I was hoping they would see this. (at least one of them.)

I hope you're not going for skiing, because there is very little or no snow to ski on.

no snow on the road..... nice day, just took it to fast.... unless somthing ran out in front, or another car caused it. you never know.
it was on one of the biger sweeping turns that is tighter then it looks. if your comming back from big bear, it's one of the first few turns after you pass the lake. I was a little suprised it was there, most people (I would think) would have lost it a little later when it gets a little tighter. but like i said, you never know what happend.

From the looks of what was going on, the driver was fine. no one was in the car, and everyone (police) seemed rather calm for someone being hurt. I did see some people over by the blue RX-8 standing around.
