--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Buttonwillow Raceway is one of the most fun, and safest tracks to develop and refine your car control skills. We will be running configuration #1, in the clockwise direction.

This is not an "open-track day" like those you have seen advertised where there are 60-100 participants. This is a “Driver Instruction Clinic” that will assist those seeking driver training or advanced driver training. This clinic is limited to a small group of approximately 30 individuals.

Professional instruction will be provided and individual private track instruction can be provided at an additional cost for those looking for one on one attention and time to improve their personal driving abilities. You can request the contact details of these instructors from us if you would like to schedule this in advance, or you can schedule it at the track if the instructor is available.

We have selected Craid Stanton to lead the clinic along with a few other experienced instructors. Craig has significant race experience and is both a talented driver and an excellent coach. There will be a real emphasis on safety, and responsible drivers are welcomed. A few of the instructional topics will focus on cornering techniques, early and late apex points (the racing line) and the quick way around the track, driver position, basic car setup, heel-&-toe down shifting, skid control, braking techniques, accident avoidance, and weight transfer among others. By the end of the day, you will be amazed at the amount of new information you have learned in addition to how much more comfortable you feel behind the wheel of your particular vehicle. You can expect to walk away from this event with a better understanding of your own driving abilities and how your car performs.

Initially, we may use run groups to separate drivers by both skill level and speed to remove any concerns raised when driving with faster or slower traffic on the track as the same time as you. This will allow you to concentrate on learning to drive better. You will have MORE than enough track time. By lunch time, we expect that the run groups will no longer be necessary because everyone will be comfortable driving on the track with both slower and faster drivers or participants will be sharing rides with each other, reducing the number of cars that can possibly be on the track at any given moment. Most people have had enough by mid-afternoon and only the hardcore few continue running till the end.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Towing, Fire Truck and Track Cleanup: Each Driver is responsible to pay for any services used at the track.

This is a rain or shine event. No refunds. However, your slot can be sold to another individual with approval. Individual professional instruction available.

Early morning track ride around with Craig Stanton: 7:30 a.m.
Mandatory Driver’s Meeting at: 8:00 a.m.

- 196 miles south of San Joselace
